It is a decent budget hotel near IIT Guahati. Rooms are not luxurious but comfortable, clean & functional with tea/coffee maker and AC. The bedsheets and towels are also without stains & dirt. Bathrooms are clean with running hot & cold water. Toiletries are very basic and unbranded. Room service is OK but housekeeping services need improvement. Food is tasty and service portions are sufficient. Prices are reasonable if you take lunch and dinner. Breakfast is very expensive and better avoided. Always take bottled water here. This hotel is suitable for business travellers or for overnight stays with family because of the lack of recreational facilities. Connectivity with Guahati is good and Ola & Uber are both available. Book early and always book this hotel online with all your requirements mentioned in the booking request. It ensures that you get the best rates and your requirements are fulfilled. The coordination among the reception staff is not very good and offline booking can be a problem.
The staff behavior was disappointing. Despite checking out at 2:00 PM, I was charged an extra 50%. Room service was extremely slow, taking too long to deliver orders. Even for complimentary water, I had to call three times—twice to room service and once to reception. The room condition was poor, with hygiene levels at their worst. Washroom amenities were not properly provided, and there was a water logging issue in the bathroom. Although opting for a room with breakfast makes it ₹300-₹400 more expensive, the quality was extremely disappointing. Instead of a proper meal, they only provided bread and jam. The overall experience was highly unsatisfactory.
Worst behaviour from staff. Immediately cancelled booking after reaching the hotel. Please refrain from booking here for a pleasant stay.
Rooms were dirty. The wardrobes were smelling. The mattress was an average one used generally in cheap hotels. TV didn’t work for 1.6 days out of 2 days stay. Remote for AC was not given. They didn’t even have an iron board. The window pane in washroom was broken. It was all wet when I checked in. The mirror in washroom was damaged due to leaked AC gas pipe. Tiles were broken. Toiletries were so bad that I thanked myself for bringing my own. Breakfast was not ready until 8:30 AM wherein it should have been ready by 8. For all of above, I was charged 4K per night. If I would have time, I probably would have filed a consumer court case on Fab Hotels for this stay. Room number 312.
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room condition was far from what was shown on the website. The bed was uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The toilet and bathroom were unclean and not properly sanitized, which made the stay feel very unhygienic. What made things even worse was the price. I was charged much more than the rate displayed online, with no proper explanation for the extra charges. I felt cheated and completely dissatisfied with the service. Overall, the experience was terrible, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They need to improve cleanliness, honesty in pricing, and overall customer service. I will not stay here again.
Title: Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poor Hygiene, Unhelpful Staff, and Billing Issues I recently stayed at FabHotel Red Rose in Amingaon, Guwahati, for two days, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Room Conditions: The first room I was given had a strong, unpleasant odor. When I requested a change, the staff initially claimed there were no other rooms available. Only after I insisted on a refund did they offer another room, which turned out to have a broken toilet and a non-functional flush. Despite informing the staff, no repairs were made during my stay. Breakfast: The breakfast options were unsatisfactory, especially for vegetarians. The choices were limited to Maggi noodles and excessively oily puris. There were no healthy alternatives, and since breakfast was served as a buffet, ordering something different was not an option. Additional Issues: A colleague of mine, staying in a separate room, experienced water leakage from the AC, making the floor slippery and hazardous. Billing Concerns: At checkout, we were surprised to find that we were billed for three days instead of two. It required additional time and effort to have this corrected, which added to the overall negative experience. Bedsheets were dirty Overall, the stay was far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Very very slow staff...tv won't work.... oily food not at all tasty.... you have to ask everything to provide you which is supposed to be complimentary even water,toiletry kit etc etc. washing charges are sky rocket and they won't mention it anywhere. Rooms are decent for emergencies or sleep.
We took a room in this hotel but the staff of the restaurant here behave very badly with the customers and their service is very slow, if you call them then they show arrogance. Their rooms are definitely the same as seen in the photos but neither the air conditioners in their rooms work properly nor the televisions. Who are they charging so much money for? I would like to say to the owner of this hotel that please ask his restaurant staff to work properly and also keep the rooms in good condition.
Very very bad behaviour staff's hotel in Guwahati, Assam Specially counter Manager (Boy and Girl) which were come from out site of Assam their behaviour are very very bad and rough manners they only know money and Hotel's Room's Bathrooms are very very bad and sleepy no adjustfan included very sleepy and riscky and rooms charges are not justified in this amount..... Owner should monitor to specially that stupid managers boy and girl
Smelly rooms and bathrooms. Extremely poor service. Breakfast was awful. They served maggie in the breakfast with chana dal and poori, that’s it. Elevator goes out of service during night till 7 am in the morning. AC outlets visible in the bathrooms. Bathroom window broken. Toilet sheet was broken. Still cannnot understand why this hotel was rated as 3 star. Its not even worth single star rating.

Stretched out along the Brahmaputra, Guwahati at first glance does not impress. But for those willing to dig deeper into...
