Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Ooty! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH was extremely friendly, and deserves a very special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. During our stay in Ooty, (13th to 15th of July 2018) at the time of check-out, we've forgotten our towel in the Cottage room. After reaching at Coimbatore, when I found that I've forgotten my towel in Fabhotel Vinu Valley Resorts, immediately I called to supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH and he asked me to send my complete residential address to him and suggested me to speak with manager MR. SATHISH R., I spoke to him and both of the guys ensured me that they are going to dispatch this towel by courier. On 17th of July 2018, they pushed that courier from Ooty and updated me over whatsapp with the pics of packed parcel along with courier receipt. On 18th of July 2018, when I reached at home, just after two days on 20th of July 2018, I've received courier at my door step. Their quick response is really really very much appreciable. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH who does a great job here; a true benchmark of excellent hospitality! Once again, I would like to thankful to manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH. Pros: The property is new. The rooms are nicely designed and clean. The place is calm and a couple of Kms away from the city. The staffs are courteous. Cons: The food options needs to be terribly improved. Over 3 days of stay in the hotel the complimentary breakfast served was only idlis, chutney, sambar and Semiya Upma and coffee or tea (on additional request we were served 2 dosas, toast and omlet). The law of diminishing marginal utility took effect by the third day in us and I'm not gonna have idlis for a fortnight atleast. The panner butter masala that we ordered from the A€ la carte menu was bad too and we ended up wasting more than half of what we were served. The room was not attending for cleaning even once in entire 3 days of stay. It dint not matter to us as we dont like messing up the room. But from the experience of traveling often, in most hotels the rooms are cleaned, the sheet made and the towels changed atleast once in two days over a long stay. Approach road to the hotel (a few meters) will give you a bit of off roading experience. Over all it is a nice place to stay if you are not expecting too much in terms of in house recreational activities and great food.

Positive : Room was neat and clean. Toilet was very clean with 24 hrs hot water. Breakfast was good but for our three days stay idli, sambar was the default menu. Staff have been very attentive and helpful. Since this is a new hotel supervisors were concerned about the cleanliness of room (if you have kids, be alert). Negative : After reading lots of reviews I booked this hotel, all reviewers concerned about the location of the hotel which is well outside the main place which I did not took seriously. Location is a big minus as it is 3kms away from the main and road leading to the hotel is very steep, narrow and bad. If you have a own transportation then this will not be a major concern. Every time when I stepped out I needed to spend 200 rs for an auto, lastly I rented a bike for commute and 600 rs per day for 3 days was spent in addition. Restaurant in the hotel will provide you only the free breakfast and for all others you need to go outside and again it was very hectic to ride from hotel to main area and back. Recommended for the cleanliness of the rooms and calm atmosphere, would not recommend for the location. For me only once and will not go back.

What was good-During check-in, I saw one bigger room available. asked about it and got a free upgrade to larger room with a balcony. Had Wifi Got idli, bread jam and semiya upma for Complimentary breakfast... Had geyser in the room which was convenient They agreed to park my car on the front side. What was bad- Location, location...Google map took us to an incorrect location. later was routed to the correct address by local people.. The road was pathetic...just big stones (road washed away in rain) and not a proper road up to near and then steep one-way road... I wouldn't recommend this hotel just for this road condition The bedspread on the bed was not clean so I asked to change...the towels were wet, intercom doesnt work..had to walk to reception for anything... I went in Jan just after the New Year.. The room was very cold..colder than outside temperature 15'C ...no heater. During check-in we were asked to show proof of marriage... they asked for MC..never had this problem in any hotels...good I had one photo with mala and they accepted it..they said its FabHotel's policy and they have to check it. Will not recommend FabHotel again.. Low ratings just for the location, check-in and facilities

I booked a room on Jan 17 2026 thinking I d get peaceful stay. From the moment I checked in things went downhill. Such worst experience I have had here from the facilities to the room . Completely disappointed on the last day of my trip.Disgusting people . I booked the room with breakfast and the next day they said there is no breakfast available. Have no words to describe about this place and adamant people here honestly do not recommend this to my worst enemy. Also do not book with agoda where they do not agree for cancellation even during emergencies.Customer care of this hotel is disgusting they do not receive calls or provide managers number. This experience spoilt my trip completely.

Hii I'm Nandhini santhosh, Very worst experience and most importantly not satisfied rooms and very disappointed my family.& reason was when I see agoda app rooms expected photos different and reality is very poor rooms . And I choose premium room but totally change it . I loss 4000 rupees I already complain but no response from agoda app. I added for select room and reality poor room. pls reply for this msg and I loss for my amount &give me solution. But service good my rating was 1/5 . 1 rating was service otherwise not satisfied. 4000 not worth room .pls solve the problem .thanyou.

Not worth the price at all. From Google review photos, the hotel looks like a big property, but in reality it is quite small and doesn’t match the expectations created online. We stayed with family and friends during winter, and the experience was very disappointing. The geyser was not working properly and hot water was available only for a short time in the morning (around 8–10 am). When we asked for one extra blanket, the staff refused. Service was very poor. The cups and plates kept in the room were already used — there was even someone else’s lipstick mark on a cup, which was very unhygienic. There was no fan and no proper ventilation in the room. Overall, a very bad experience. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

I had a horrible experience with this property. I booked the hotel through the FabHotels official website and paid the full amount in advance. The booking was confirmed. When I reached Ooty, the hotel staff told me that no rooms were available and refused to provide accommodation. They asked me to contact FabHotels instead. The worst part is that FabHotels customer care executives never pick up the calls. I tried multiple times, but there was no response at all. The hotel staff was also not supportive and didn’t try to help in any way. This completely ruined my trip and caused a lot of stress. I strongly advise not to book through FabHotels and not to stay at Sholas Residency. Please choose some other hotel in the city to avoid such issues. Pic: They did-not pick up call for 22 minutes and still call is going on while i am writing this review current time is 35 minutes.

No extra bed given despite we paid it during booking. They said they got only 2 beds booking. Cleartrip took money for extra bed but they gave booking to hotel of only 2 beds. My kids suffered in sleeping in the same bed. Despite paying 2500rs per night they asked extra 1000rs per mattress only per night. Hot water comes only morning 7 to 10. Considering weather in ooty hot water should be round the clock. Wifi doesn't work properly. Toiletries and tea coffee packets not given until asked. Rooms were not clean and tidy. Bathrooms were in bad condition. Requires proper maintenance. Locks were not working, had to change the room. Very basic and average hotel. Price should not be more than 700 to 800rs per night.

We stayed for just one day at Fab Vinu Valley Resort in Ooty, booking directly for ₹1800. Honestly, it was not worth the money. The place is shown as a resort, but in reality, the rooms are like villa houses and do not give a resort feel. The approach road is very poor, and even the map shows an incorrect route. The property is also located on a steep slope, making it difficult to access. The cleanliness was very disappointing. Pillows and pillow covers were torn, towels were dirty, and nothing felt fresh. Basic amenities like toothbrush, paste were missing. mugs and glasses provided were not properly cleaned. For breakfast, they charged ₹100 per person but only gave a very small portion — 2 idlis, 1 poori, and 1 dosa — which was not tasty at all. The water also didn’t seem like RO water and tasted more like regular tap water. Even mirror is not in the room. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable, not value for money, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
