During my recent trip, I had the pleasure of staying at FABHotel Ambassador and it truly exceeded my expectations in every way. From the efficient and friendly check-in process to the quiet, well-appointed room, everything was designed with the traveler in mind. The room was spotless and equipped with reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring I got a restful night’s sleep after long days of travel. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful, always ready to assist. One of the highlights of my stay was meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their genuine warmth and personal attention made the experience feel more like staying at a trusted friend’s place than a hotel. It’s clear that their passion for hospitality shines through in every detail. Overall Hotel Ambassador is an ideal choice for business and family travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and impeccable service. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit.

Rooms have good privacy in the end of corridors so they are quiet and gives privacy. Washrooms are well built with modern hardware. Location is quite suitable as its just 2 kms away from the main clubs and party places of chandigarh

Untidy and dirty room. I got the premium one. Stained pillow covers and bedsheets. The bedsheet was full of hair when I entered. When I called the receptionist, he argued that all the hair are mine. I am almost bald. He replaced the pillow cover and bedsheets. They were more dirty than the previous one. Bedmites to a point it is 3:52 AM and I am contemplating to just get the hell out. Bed is stinking of things that I prefer not to mention but I hope the stain photos gives everyone an idea. The only good thing is the proximity to Sukhna lake. There is constant car noise from the window (Room 104). Cockroach in the toilet Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The Worst Hotel Experience I’ve Ever Had – Avoid at All Costs I've been using Booking.com for almost a decade to find hotels. Until now, I have never written a negative review. As a business owner myself, I know how damaging a bad review can be. But what happened to me at HOTEL AMBASSADOR SUKHNA LAKE CHANDIGARH was outrageous, and people deserve to know the truth. A few days ago, I booked three nights at this hotel in Chandigarh. Let’s start with the location: the hotel sits on a loud, chaotic street that feels more like a filthy alley in Old Delhi than a peaceful getaway. When we arrived, before we were even shown the room, the owner demanded full payment in advance. This has never happened to me in any Indian hotel before. I insisted on seeing the room first. The room was on the 4th floor with no elevator. The hallway stank of cigarettes. The room itself? A complete scam: The room I booked was listed as 17 square meters – the one I got was barely 11. The listing claimed a lake view. That’s a lie. There is no lake view from anywhere in the hotel – only a view of the noisy, grimy street. The bed was described as a Large Double Bed. In reality, it was 140 cm wide – a standard, small double at best. As if that wasn’t enough, the room’s window was made of cheap, paper-thin glass. In cities like Delhi or Mumbai, even budget hotels use thick glass to block street noise. Here, we could hear every horn, every shout, every machine from the workshops outside. It was impossible to rest. While I stood there, visibly unhappy, the hotel manager threatened that he would charge my card through the site if I didn’t pay in cash immediately. I panicked and paid him – a huge mistake. We sat in the room for ten minutes trying to figure out what to do. It was unbearable. Instead of a peaceful lakeview hotel, we were trapped in a noisy dump. I went back downstairs and asked to cancel the reservation. The manager refused, saying it was “already submitted to the system.” I called Booking.com customer service, waited 20 minutes, finally got a rep, explained everything. She spoke to the manager – who flat-out refused to issue a refund. Her only offer was a 10% refund if I could somehow prove the room didn't match the description. Eventually, we threatened to call the police if he didn’t refund the money. Under pressure, he agreed to refund just one night out of three. We had little cash left, so we took the partial refund and left. This was the most disgusting hotel experience I’ve ever had. But beyond that, I want people to know: Booking.com charges hefty fees but does nothing to protect you when shady hotels cheat their guests. This platform failed me completely, and I will never use it again. I will also make it my mission to spread the word that Booking.com is unreliable and unprofessional.
