Guest Experience & Reviews Positive feedback praises: Sparkling cleanliness and comfortable, spacious rooms Helpful, hospitable staff and overall pleasant hospitality Complimentary breakfast and convenient access to nearby historical spots Negative reviews highlight: Remote or less accessible location, which might be inconvenient for exploring central Varanasi Issues such as stained linens, inadequate cleanliness, poor maintenance of bathrooms, plumbing issues, and overall subpar service Guests recommended bringing personal basics like toiletries and mosquito repellent due to reported hygiene and facility gaps --- Summary Table Feature Details Location Sarnath, near Chaukhandi Stupa & Giant Buddha Statue Hotel Type 3-star, ~22 rooms Room Features AC, TV, seating/dressing area, electric kettle Amenities Parking, toiletries, breakfast, Wi-Fi Pros Clean rooms, polite staff, good breakfast, proximity to attractions Cons Hygiene concerns, maintenance problems, remote location, service issues --- Final Thoughts Hotel Moti Mahal in Sarnath could be a suitable choice if you're traveling on a budget, value historic proximity, and don't mind its somewhat tucked-away location. Its strong points are its comfort, basic amenities, and closeness to Sarnath’s spiritual sites. However, if impeccable cleanliness and top-notch service are high on your list, you might want to explore alternative accommodations. Would you like me to help you compare nearby hotels, check availability for your travel dates, or explore dining options around Sarnath?
Not a good place to stay with your family. Room beds are hard and soggy, bathroom is average, no room service available, no dustbin placed inside room. Overall cleanliness of guest house is average.
Online pics & real hotel rooms are different Rooms & toilets are smelly Early checkin allowed mostly Bedsheets are dirty & not replaced daily/regularly. Prices are high & it's not a fab brand hotel it seems. Avoid it for sure.
I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. My booking was denied at the property despite having a confirmed reservation, and the full amount was already paid in advance. Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel could not accommodate my stay, which caused significant inconvenience, last-minute stress, and disruption to my travel plans. This situation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially after confirming and paying for the booking. Although the refund was later initiated after follow-up, the experience left a very negative impression. I would strongly advise future guests to double-check availability directly with the hotel before arrival, even if the booking is confirmed online. Overall, poor coordination and lack of accountability. Very disappointing experience.
This hotel is the most horrible, unprofessional, and scam-filled place I have ever come across. Honestly, this hotel should be shut down immediately. We booked the hotel through Agoda and received a confirmed booking. When I called the number provided, the manager told me they don’t deal with Agoda at all and asked me to cancel the booking and book directly with them for ₹2500 per night. I agreed because we needed a place to stay. When Agoda tried to verify the booking, the owner refused to answer their calls, clearly proving they were lying and trying to cheat travellers. When we reached the property, the manager changed his story again and said the ₹2500 room had already been given away, and the only room available would cost ₹3500 per night. We had no option left at that moment, so we agreed — and that turned out to be a huge mistake. The moment we entered the room, we were shocked: Spider webs everywhere Beds not dusted at all Dirty, stained bedsheets Broken almirah Broken window — anyone could force it open and enter the room No towels, no water bottles, no toiletries The blanket was so small it couldn’t even cover one adult Floors were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages And worst of all, there was barely anyone in the hotel, giving it a completely unsafe and abandoned feeling I genuinely don’t understand how this place is still operating. It is disgusting, unsafe, dishonest, and a complete scam. No hygiene, no professionalism, no security — nothing. Avoid this hotel at all costs. It can completely ruin your trip. If I could give zero stars, I would.
My recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel obligated to share my dreadful experience in hopes of sparing others from a similar ordeal. Privacy Invasion and Safety Concerns: Our troubles began on the very day we checked in when a staff member named Ishu was caught snooping on my lady friend's room (Room 206) through the backside window. This invasion of privacy was not only distressing but also raised serious safety concerns. The fact that the hotel management's response to this heinous act was to merely paint over the window is both unacceptable and alarming. Despite my attempts to reach out to Fab's central office and speak with a person named Jawed, there was no response or accountability from the hotel staff or management. It's absolutely shocking that such a grave incident went unaddressed and ignored. Restricted Breakfast: The hotel's breakfast policy is nothing short of absurd. Guests are allowed only one paratha per person. This limited offering falls far short of the reasonable expectations one would have for a breakfast service. Inadequate Room Amenities: Inconvenience was the theme of my stay. The landline in my room was consistently out of order, which meant that even for a simple request such as a bottle of water, I had to trudge down three flights of stairs to the reception. This was not only frustrating but also reflected a lack of attention to guest comfort. Unjustified GST Charges: To make matters worse, the hotel charged GST on bottled water. This seemed like an unnecessary and unreasonable practice, leaving me with doubts about the hotel's integrity and transparency in their billing procedures. Inconvenient Location: Adding to the list of grievances, the hotel's location is far from tourist attractions, and the absence of nearby general stores made it difficult to access basic necessities. This location oversight is a major drawback for anyone hoping to explore the local area conveniently. In summary, my stay at this hotel was plagued by a shocking breach of privacy and safety, a stingy breakfast policy, faulty room amenities, questionable billing practices, and an inconvenient location. The complete lack of response and accountability for the privacy invasion was particularly distressing. I strongly advise potential guests to steer clear of this establishment to avoid the multitude of issues I encountered during my stay.
Such a low graded hotel, staff was very unprofessional. Rooms are like lodge,
