Very bad hotel. They shows lots of amenities in web page but there no TV, no napkins, no glass at all. Bedsheets and towels very dirty. Please don’t book this hotel on line as it’s a scam. I never stayed in Dharmshala but staying with this hotel … Dharmshala could be lot better ..! You get lots of mosquitoes staying with you all night. Definitely will report to Heath department

The absence of bath towels and the unclean condition of the bed and room were disappointing, as was the poor room service; I cannot recommend this place.

As we spoke yesterday night for the room availability and hot water availability and we told we are checking in early, these people said yes there are rooms please come. Once we reach the location they are charging extra money and no hot water, room is like worse, and the staff behaviour is also bad and so arrogant and he is like if you don’t pay extra 500rs we will not give room, we came to visit just temple as early as possible because we have flight in the noon, because of this person who wanted make more money by giving worst room. My first worst experience in Guwahati. I trusted and came to same Anurag hotel even though our cab driver told he will get a good room near kamakya temple. Please don’t visit this Anurag residency kala pahar, they are not here to serve tourists, instead they want to charge more money by provide bad rooms. This is the honest review writing by standing infront of the hotel.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room was not clean, the blanket was torn, and the overall hygiene was poor. The receptionist and service staff were constantly chewing gutka, which made the experience even worse. Definitely not worth the price — needs major improvement in cleanliness and staff behavior.

This hotel doesn't deserve to get any star. We had the worst experience. The staff the room. The hot water kept on flowing, the tape of the washroom was broken. We got a call at midnight around 4 am from the reception and when we asked them back why they call us at 4 am, they said it was not them it was some other guests who call us at night. It was very disturbing since during 4 am who would call to the room landline number. The room was unhygienic. The bed was broken and the bedsheet was not clean. We had the worst experience ever. Kindly maintain hygeine if you want customers in the near future. Don't make the mistake we made.

If you would like to experience a 100 problems packed in to a single day, this is the hotel from hell to choose. I had called and requested for 2 working and clean rooms before confirming the booking. My expectations were very basic as we were only staying between 10pm and 4 am. All facilities was confirmed by the owner over a call. Upon reaching, we were made to pay the amount in full and in advance but the service was more than lacking. We climbed up 3 floors for our room and were made to change 3 different rooms within 20 minutes because none of the rooms were in a functional condition. Room 1: Non functional geyser. I had specifically requested for a working geyser before booking but was given a room with one that doesn't work. Room 2: broken tap. We were moved to a different room with 4 bags of heavy luggage because room 1 was disfunctional. Now, this 2nd room had a working geyser but a broken tap which wouldn't dispense hot water without heavy fiddling, which the owner himself had trouble operating. Room 3: upon confrontation with the owner, we were yet again moved to a different room on a different floor. The same drama with the heavy and partially opened luggage happens here too. This room had a functional geyser and tap but it was infested with cockroaches of all sizes. I had to dust some of then from my backpack right in front of the owner. A room freshener spray was first brought in by the hotel staff to combat the bug issue. Upon pointing out the stupidity of the act, a proper bug spray was brought in and sprayed. We had to refuse to sleep in a roach infested room that was now full of chemical fumes and scurrying pests. My patience was worn out by now. After a lengthy session of to & fro with the owner for the shoddy and filthy services, or lack thereof, I was offered a 25% refund of the charges by the owner for the 100% deficiency in services. We were again moved back to the 2nd room as this one had the least cockroaches of all. My partner refused to bathe due to the above conditions. I had to bathe in a room on a different floor and sleep in a room on another floor. More problems : none of the 3 rooms we were offered had a proper toilet flush. Our friends room was infested with roaches as well. No complementary drinking water for the room prices. Filthy & smelly beds with torn bedsheets. Dirty, broken, narrow restroom that is barely wide enough for A small person to turn around in. Dustbins with cigarette burn holes in them. Extremely rude and careless staff. Highlight of the stay: Extortion attempt I had also asked to arrange for an e-rickshaw to pick us up from the hotel at 4 am. The night staff and the owner all nodded their heads and confirmed the service along with the price. When 4 am came the next day, I was told at the last minute that I had to cough up 4 times the original agreed price for the rickshaw to drop us off at the airport. We realized we were being swindled and were being taken advantage of our pressing situation to reach the airport on time. Luckily we had a backup transportation option from the previous night we had arranged by ourselves that saved us the horror of missing our flight. The night staff person shrugged off all responsibilities with reasons such as "I'm just a worker here. Talk to the owner for your issues" and "it's not my responsibility to arrange transport. My duties end at the door", etc. All in all, this has been the worst experience of my life regarding hotel stays and airport transfers. DO NOT TRUST THE PHOTOS OF THIS STAY ON THE INTERNET. MORE IMPORTANTLY, DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF OR THE OWNER. Wish I had clicked some pictures of the pests and dilapidated condition of the rooms, but most of my time at the hotel was spent between arguing with the hotel staff and my need to get some shuteye before our flight in the awful conditions. Never, ever, step foot in this hotel if you want your sanity intact, even if you are offered a free stay. It's simply not worth it. You're better off sleeping at the airport on one of the empty chairs.
