About George Town, Chennai 

Located near the iconic Fort St George, George Town is known to be the primary neighbourhood of the erstwhile city of Madras. The area marks the birthplace of the city’s economy and served as its chief commercial hub until the 1960s. Presently, the area is home to many prominent government and commercial establishments like Madras High Court, Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Reserve Bank of India, Secretariat, GPO, State Bank of Mysore, New Collectorate Office and BSNL Office. In addition, the commercial banking and trading hub of Parry’s Corner also falls in this area.
A culturally rich neighbourhood, George Town has shrines of different faiths within its boundaries, including Hindu and Jain temples, mosques, synagogues and churches. The popular Burma Bazaar can also be found here along with several heritage and modern buildings, dotted along the Rajaji Salai and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Road. Other major landmarks in the neighbourhood include higher education institutions like Dr Ambedkar Law College and Stanley Medical College.

Had to wait 20min to checkin, AC wasnt working, no towels were provided and the reason given was thry laundry guy is on leave! Pillows were dirty, sheets were dirty like how is this property even listed here???? and the prive charged here for what was provided was rubbish. I need this place removed from the platform. This isnt a joke."
