We stayed in this hotel for 4 days on Pongal festival this year. Initially we planned for two days stay but after looking their cooperation and best quality breakfast we extended for next two days. Manager is very genuine person. The Breakfast is marvelous and the cook is very experienced person. Room is very clean and hotel is in the Main market. Beach, Park and Ganesha temple area very close. Lift facility is very good. We definitely visit again.
My stay here (+ 2 weeks) was very comfortable and memorable. The location is very central. The reception is very helpful in every way possible (receiving parcels, organizing taxi, and so much more). Housekeeping is very friendly and does a good job. I enjoyed the daily south indian breakfast. The chef goes out of his way to prepare delicious dishes every day. Thank you! I will be back
I had an amazing experience staying at FabExpress Santhi Inn in Pondicherry. The moment I entered, the place gave a clean, well-maintained, and luxury-stay feel. The rooms were neat, spacious, and comfortable, with a peaceful ambience that made the stay perfect. One of the best parts is the location — it’s very close to all major tourist attractions like Promenade Beach, White Town, and popular cafes, making it extremely convenient for sightseeing. The complimentary breakfast was too good, freshly prepared, and honestly felt like home-cooked food. The staff were polite, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of with a warm attitude. Overall, it’s a perfectly maintained, decent, and classy luxury stay option in Pondicherry. Highly recommended for anyone planning a comfortable and memorable trip!
This is my 5th stay at this hotel and I favour this because the location is very nearby all attraction points and most importantly walk friendly. The guy who makes breakfast and serves is very courteous and welcoming, as I was being late and it was time to check out he made it all the way to my room and served me wonderful dosa considering I'm in a hurry and may miss it. The rooms are clean and everything works well, just a point which could be improved that is lighting should be more and bright and the charging points need to be increased otherwise no issues. Will come again..
I recently stayed at Shanthii Inn in Pondicherry and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is convenient and close to major attractions, which made travel easy. The highlight of my stay was the food. The meals were fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Breakfast had a good variety, and the restaurant service was prompt and courteous. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, making the overall experience smooth and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Shanthii Inn for a relaxing stay with good food in Pondicherry
Good things: room are neat and clean. No mosquito. Many places are near. Walkable distance. Bad things. Rooms are small, nit like shown in photos. Breakfast is average and waiting time is around 20mins for Breakfast (mainly for Dosa). Very important thing is no car parking available. Wehave to park in main road only. But during booking I was Informed by fab team that car parking is available. Finlay I am fighting with hotel management. Fab team is cheating me while booking
Not worth the price – great location, but major drawbacks I stayed at this hotel during my trip to Pondicherry, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations, especially considering the price. Cons: The rooms are poorly lit with no access to natural light, making them feel quite dull. None of the windows open—they’re jammed shut—and attempting to open them exposes you to pigeon feathers, droppings, and a strong foul smell. There is no dedicated parking for cars, which is a major inconvenience for travelers driving in. Pros: The rooms were clean and tidy, which was appreciated. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its prime location. It’s within walking distance of major tourist attractions like Rock Beach, Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum, Crafts Bazaar, Promenade Beach, White Town, and many charming cafes. Overall: Unless location is your sole priority, this hotel doesn’t offer good value for money. Basic amenities and comfort need serious improvement.
Pathetic experience: 1. No parking available - it's in the main market lane. They claim to provide parking but it is not available. Wasted everyday lot of time in searching space for parking. 2. Claims for Deluxe room are all false. Very small room, no space for chairs to sit. No hot water kettles in the room. 3. Breakfast is pathetic. You get either dose or idly or bread butter.(Any one). No other option for breakfast. Very bad taste. Also the staff's behaviour was very rude. 4. Don't get carried away with the brand FabHotels. Not even basic standards followed for Fab Hotel. 5. It is no better than any road side motels. Not at all a value for money
Would give 1 star but the staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast chef was really lovely, nice breakfast and roof. The room was pretty terrible. It should be clear on the website or booking.com that most rooms have NO NATURAL LIGHT. They have windows that open directly into another building. Also no soundproofing, I could hear all the bathroom activities of the man next door. Decor tired and not automatically cleaned or given fresh towels. Nothing really dries as there’s no fresh air or light so everything felt dark and damp. Also very small room. We checked out early to find a nicer room, did not realise Pondy is expensive (even in the Indian side) and you need to make sure you will be given a room with windows! Can get better for the same money. Seems fab hotels have done a good job with photos and marketing and booking.com algorithm
Terrible experience:I booked this hotel for 3 nights stay but checked out after 1 night itself. Room size is very small. Please don't go by the pics on the site. We stayed in this hotel on 2nd Jan and the kitchen was under some maintenance. When we ordered for lunch, they took the order, but called us up after sometime & told the kitchen is closed, so order your food from swiggy. We ended up having our lunch & dinner from swiggy. Breakfast was pathetic, just Idly, upma & poori bhaji, chai/coffee. Hotel boasts of a rooftop bar, but it's not even worth siting.Hotel staff was good though- the only saviour. They arranged for milk boiling & a new electric kettle for my 2 year old kid on 1 request. Please don't waste your money on this hotel.
