Located on the outskirts of Chennai, about 53 km southwest of the city, it is one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the region and among the largest automobile hubs in the country. Oragadam doesn’t have a metro station or suburban railway station of its own; the nearest railway station is in Palur (14 km), on the South Line of Chennai’s Suburban Railway Network.
