Oragadam is a major industrial area in the Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA). Located on the outskirts of Chennai, about 53 km southwest of the city, it is one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the region and among the largest automobile hubs in the country. This industrial belt houses several Fortune 500 companies and manufacturing as well as automobile giants including Samsung, Yamaha, Dell, Motorola, Daimler, Renault, Apollo Tyres, and TVS, to name a few. Located centrally between NH 45 (also called GST Road or Grand Southern Trunk Road) and NH 4, the area also enjoys smooth connectivity with neighbouring localities. The area witnesses a steady influx of travellers and some of the best budget and business hotels in Chennai are located in and around the locality.

Shopping and Dining in and around Oragadam

Oragadam is primarily an industrial hub, so you won’t find any high-end malls or shopping complexes in the locality. However, there is a decent range of stand-alone shops and stores where you can buy all essential items.
