Awful service. They changed the room in between so we had to shift only because they gave the booking for entire floor to someone else. And then the room alotted to us didn’t had a key so we spend half day with no electricity. Not to mention food that we ordered was plain khichdi and it took them 90 minutes to provide that. I wish i could give them zero star.

I booked a one-night stay at this hotel for my parents, who were in town for a check-up at Fortis Hospital. The experience was absolutely pathetic. My parents reported that the room was extremely smelly and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan. Worse yet, there were mice throughout the hotel, and they even found mouse droppings in their room. This stay was not even worth 500 rupees, let alone the 1900 I paid. FabHotels is misleading customers with their listings. Because of a medical emergency and my parents being unfamiliar with the city, we were stuck with this horrible experience. I wish I could give a negative rating. Do not stay here—it is easily one of the worst hotels in Mohali."

This is regarding the previous review where FabHotels asked me to contact them about the issue I faced about having denied check-in. No follow up from FabHotels on this issue even after 5 days from when the issue was reported. No refund initiated yet. Absolutely pathetic service from FabHotels. This hotel is running a scam and FabHotels is doing nothing about it. Do not book a room on this property. FabHotels will not help you in any way.

The hotel denied me a room that I had booked for me, my 5 year old son and senior citizen parents, on MakeMyTrip. It was late at night and the hotel staff asked me to contact customer care for refund. When MakeMyTrip tried getting approval for refund from the hotel they denied it. I’m yet to receive a refund. The hotel seems to be running a scam. Horrible experience!! I Don’t recommend this hotel for families at any cost.

This was honestly one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I checked in, everything went downhill. The cleanliness was shockingly poor, the room had cockroaches and bed bugs, and most of the basic amenities were either missing or completely useless. The overall maintenance of the hotel was terrible. What made the experience even worse was the staff’s behaviour. Their attitude was unbelievably unprofessional unhelpful, careless, and completely uninterested in solving any issues. Despite repeated requests, nothing was fixed, and it felt like they simply didn’t care. There are far better options available than this hotel. I wouldn’t suggest anyone pre-book it. Instead, visit the place first and only then make the payment or booking. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel, as there are plenty of better hotels where guests are treated with basic respect and comfort.

Dirty unmaintained rooms. The guy in staff is really helpful and sweet but the condition of the property is just awful. The bathroom and the room smelled weird. There was fungus on the room walls and pillow case. The location of the property is also in a really cramped really small lane.

The Worst Hotel Experience I’ve Ever Had – Avoid at All Costs I've been using Booking.com for almost a decade to find hotels. Until now, I have never written a negative review. As a business owner myself, I know how damaging a bad review can be. But what happened to me at HOTEL AMBASSADOR SUKHNA LAKE CHANDIGARH was outrageous, and people deserve to know the truth. A few days ago, I booked three nights at this hotel in Chandigarh. Let’s start with the location: the hotel sits on a loud, chaotic street that feels more like a filthy alley in Old Delhi than a peaceful getaway. When we arrived, before we were even shown the room, the owner demanded full payment in advance. This has never happened to me in any Indian hotel before. I insisted on seeing the room first. The room was on the 4th floor with no elevator. The hallway stank of cigarettes. The room itself? A complete scam: The room I booked was listed as 17 square meters – the one I got was barely 11. The listing claimed a lake view. That’s a lie. There is no lake view from anywhere in the hotel – only a view of the noisy, grimy street. The bed was described as a Large Double Bed. In reality, it was 140 cm wide – a standard, small double at best. As if that wasn’t enough, the room’s window was made of cheap, paper-thin glass. In cities like Delhi or Mumbai, even budget hotels use thick glass to block street noise. Here, we could hear every horn, every shout, every machine from the workshops outside. It was impossible to rest. While I stood there, visibly unhappy, the hotel manager threatened that he would charge my card through the site if I didn’t pay in cash immediately. I panicked and paid him – a huge mistake. We sat in the room for ten minutes trying to figure out what to do. It was unbearable. Instead of a peaceful lakeview hotel, we were trapped in a noisy dump. I went back downstairs and asked to cancel the reservation. The manager refused, saying it was “already submitted to the system.” I called Booking.com customer service, waited 20 minutes, finally got a rep, explained everything. She spoke to the manager – who flat-out refused to issue a refund. Her only offer was a 10% refund if I could somehow prove the room didn't match the description. Eventually, we threatened to call the police if he didn’t refund the money. Under pressure, he agreed to refund just one night out of three. We had little cash left, so we took the partial refund and left. This was the most disgusting hotel experience I’ve ever had. But beyond that, I want people to know: Booking.com charges hefty fees but does nothing to protect you when shady hotels cheat their guests. This platform failed me completely, and I will never use it again. I will also make it my mission to spread the word that Booking.com is unreliable and unprofessional.
