"Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Ooty! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH was extremely friendly, and deserves a very special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. During our stay in Ooty, (13th to 15th of July 2018) at the time of check-out, we've forgotten our towel in the Cottage room. After reaching at Coimbatore, when I found that I've forgotten my towel in Fabhotel Vinu Valley Resorts, immediately I called to supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH and he asked me to send my complete residential address to him and suggested me to speak with manager MR. SATHISH R., I spoke to him and both of the guys ensured me that they are going to dispatch this towel by courier. On 17th of July 2018, they pushed that courier from Ooty and updated me over whatsapp with the pics of packed parcel along with courier receipt. On 18th of July 2018, when I reached at home, just after two days on 20th of July 2018, I've received courier at my door step. Their quick response is really really very much appreciable. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH who does a great job here; a true benchmark of excellent hospitality! Once again, I would like to thankful to manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH. "What was good-During check-in, I saw one bigger room available. asked about it and got a free upgrade to larger room with a balcony. Had Wifi Got idli, bread jam and semiya upma for Complimentary breakfast... Had geyser in the room which was convenient They agreed to park my car on the front side. What was bad- Location, location...Google map took us to an incorrect location. later was routed to the correct address by local people.. The road was pathetic...just big stones (road washed away in rain) and not a proper road up to near and then steep one-way road... I wouldn't recommend this hotel just for this road condition The bedspread on the bed was not clean so I asked to change...the towels were wet, intercom doesnt work..had to walk to reception for anything... I went in Jan just after the New Year.. The room was very cold..colder than outside temperature 15'C ...no heater. During check-in we were asked to show proof of marriage... they asked for MC..never had this problem in any hotels...good I had one photo with mala and they accepted it..they said its FabHotel's policy and they have to check it. Will not recommend FabHotel again.. Low ratings just for the location, check-in and facilities"

"Pros: The property is new. The rooms are nicely designed and clean. The place is calm and a couple of Kms away from the city. The staffs are courteous. Cons: The food options needs to be terribly improved. Over 3 days of stay in the hotel the complimentary breakfast served was only idlis, chutney, sambar and Semiya Upma and coffee or tea (on additional request we were served 2 dosas, toast and omlet). The law of diminishing marginal utility took effect by the third day in us and I'm not gonna have idlis for a fortnight atleast. The panner butter masala that we ordered from the A€ la carte menu was bad too and we ended up wasting more than half of what we were served. The room was not attending for cleaning even once in entire 3 days of stay. It dint not matter to us as we dont like messing up the room. But from the experience of traveling often, in most hotels the rooms are cleaned, the sheet made and the towels changed atleast once in two days over a long stay. Approach road to the hotel (a few meters) will give you a bit of off roading experience. Over all it is a nice place to stay if you are not expecting too much in terms of in house recreational activities and great food."

"Positive : Room was neat and clean. Toilet was very clean with 24 hrs hot water. Breakfast was good but for our three days stay idli, sambar was the default menu. Staff have been very attentive and helpful. Since this is a new hotel supervisors were concerned about the cleanliness of room (if you have kids, be alert). Negative : After reading lots of reviews I booked this hotel, all reviewers concerned about the location of the hotel which is well outside the main place which I did not took seriously. Location is a big minus as it is 3kms away from the main and road leading to the hotel is very steep, narrow and bad. If you have a own transportation then this will not be a major concern. Every time when I stepped out I needed to spend 200 rs for an auto, lastly I rented a bike for commute and 600 rs per day for 3 days was spent in addition. Restaurant in the hotel will provide you only the free breakfast and for all others you need to go outside and again it was very hectic to ride from hotel to main area and back. Recommended for the cleanliness of the rooms and calm atmosphere, would not recommend for the location. For me only once and will not go back."

"Just avoid booking this else you will spoil your holiday. They are very unprofessional. I second all the bad reviews given by people before me on this thread. Interestingly even after repeated bad reviews and commitment from the management to look into the matter since 2018 nothing has changed here. Everything is on the whims and fancies of the staff. Given below are some pointers:- rooms do not have a standard arrangement. Some deluxe rooms have a kettle the other doesn't even have a proper bed, let alone the kettle. It has iron cots. - cockroaches in the tea flask- we had ordered separate milk with black tea. They gave us milk which had gone off. It was sour milk. This was our morning tea. - complimentary breakfast has only idli which repeats itself everyday. - tea is served in dirty broken mugs. - we had to leave for Conoor early morning for which we had asked the hotel to book a cab for 9.30. No cab arrived till. No one followed up, no infirmation. No handover to the new person after change of duty. Finallyafter lot of uncomfortable exchabge of words we got a cab after one hour. Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Our last lap of holiday sucked."

"I wish I could give negative ratings to this cheap and awful hotel. No wifi, no service, staff lacks experience, tasteless food worst of all the rooms... The bed made alot of noise even with the slightest movement, they even don't have fans or air conditioners. They won't provide you water, and even fresh towels unless you ask them for it. Also the hotel is situated in a horrible horrible place you will have to cross so many narrow and steep slopes with no view, nothing, reaching their was a challenge in itself. I don't know what they ask so much money for... We made our plans at the last minute so we couldn't arrange the toy train tickets, so the manager offered us help saying I will send an employee from the hotel for your tickets which he couldn't get still he asked us to pay him the money which was 10 times the cost of tickets. The ticket fare was 25 Rs for which he asked for 250 Rs. From us.. They are burglars in the name of hoteliers. I would suggest people to rather sleep in the car than to go to stay in this horrendous hotel. That would literally be more comfortable than the Fab hotel vinu valley resorts (ooty)."

"Most of these reviews look like paid reviews and I fell for them. I searched for the best rated hotel in whole of Ooty and the result shown was Vinu Valley Resorts. Without thinking twice, I go ahead and book the stay for two nights. The major reasons why I booked the room here are the proximity from Tiger Hill view point (As described in their website) and the views from the room's balcony. Only after reaching here I understand that there is no view point at all near by. I even venture out and ask all the locals and the only reply I get is the only view point here is Doddabetta peak and it is 11kms away. The views from the room are non existent. The road condition from the main road to the property is very very poor. The rooms are OKish but nothing as fancy as shown all over the web. The parking is open to sky and the vehicles have to drench in rain the entire night. Complimentary Breakfast contained just Idly and Upma in both the days we stayed. The hotels right next to this property charge you 1200-1500 bucks a night, so i don't understand why you have to pay 3000 here. Definitely not worth the money you pay. Avoid it!"

"Few things that I want you to know about the hotel that I observed in my 4 day stay : 1. The hotel is located in outskirts of ooty. Not at all recommended for tourists who don't have their own traveling vehicle. Local auto drivers will charge very very high for up and down to any tourist's spot here. 2. Food served is also not at all good. Buffet breakfast is same daily, Idli and upma, that is also not served on time, they will say it will be ready by 8:30 am but it will be almost 9:15 for each and every thing to come to the table, so you may plan you day accordingly. 3. The name of hotel was not on the building when we reached so it was a bit confusing. 4. Many times there is no one at reception, you will have to search here and there to find any hotel staff."

"Only good thing about the hotel is the spacious rooms and good staff. The major concern was the security. The access road to the hotel is very narrow and in pathetic condition that it looks very unsafe, especially when you visit it with your family. Parking facility can be improved and its better if a security guy is appointed, so that your customers in future can feel safe. Also, the food can be made much better by improving it in terms of options, number of varieties in breakfast available, instead of asking to order something on Swiggy/Zomato. Also, room was not cleaned during our stay. As other hotels (at the same or even much lesser price) everywhere clean the room everyday, thats the minimum thing that should be done for all that we pay."

"The place was nice and is not very different from its catalogue. However, the worst part started when we arrived at the venue. The judgmental receptionist did not make any effort to hide his resentment on this booking. The lowest point was when he barged into the room and tried to do an inspection without any intimation. The final blow was the moral policing by the caretaker after we checked out. I don't understand why let bachelors stay if you don't want them to. The price was not at all reflective in the service standards one would expect from Fabhotel. If you're a family don't go for it because you can find better stays with good breakfast service at lower price. If you're bachelor take this place at your own risk."

"The property is very good. New and clean. Good things is it is slightly away from the main city keeping it calm amd quiet. Staffs are courteous. Food options and quality needs too much of an improvement. The complimentary breakfast had a standard menu (Idli, sambar, chutney and Semiya upma) with absolutely no changes over 3days of stay, on additional requests got a couple of dosas, toasts and omlet served. Panner butter we ordered from the A La Carter for dinner was pathetic. The room was not attended for cleaning not even once while our stay for 3nights 4days (we like keeping our room clean, keeping our contribution apart). Overall it was nice and peaceful stay at VinuValley Ooty."

"Attendant not so good first day they started fighting with us..we have to tell the whole story to fab people though we informed these 2 beard person my whole family would be reaching late ..since they only work for 24/7 and because of staff crunch we had to tell them only the work which they feel we are pushing hard this has to be taken care by their management not us ...serious concern ..I dont think we would recommend the same holiday location to others...however we had gone ooty to enjoy and cherish memories but we have to continuously explain about what we want ...it's useless they wasted our days at ooty..not good break fast also...daily idli and sambhar...not satisfied"

"It was horrible experience. Because of website trivago's mistake I lost 3500 rs. The dates and days are wrong in the trivago app. I wanted to stay from Friday to Sunday. But since the dates were wrong in the app we booked one day early date. When we reached the hotel only we came to know. And fabhotels did nothing to help us. They actually said they won't return our money but after I shouted they gave me room only for one day. So my money rs3500 is with fabhotels for trivago's mistake. This is horrible. Plus that manager was not helpful at all."

"It’s a new building. Rooms were neat and clean. Location was quite pleasant and away from city traffic (just 1km). No fan and AC are provided in rooms as the climate is already cool and chill. Car parking is outside the compound wall only in mud road. Water heater got tripped very often. Complimentary breakfast was very simple and no varieties. Wifi signal was poor inside the room. They made us to pay the room charges at the time of check-in itself for our 3N stay, even though we have already paid a part payment in advance through online."

"The hotel was very clean with power back up to provide hot water 24X7 In the day. However, there is no heating arrangement in room and if required, it's provided on chargeable basis and the charges are very high. The Wi-Fi signal was weak or non existent and mobile connectivity is also very poor in resort. Location wise it is about 2-3 km away from the main market and very limited eating options are their around the property. So, it's better to have your own vehicle or cab to move out to main market for food and all, whenever required."

"Very unhappy with the way our reservation was handled by Fabhotel and also Vinu Valley. Were charged beyond what was mentioned during the initial reservation. Was charged excess. Was assured/committed by Fabhotel that they would listen to the initial conversation of reservation and reverted to, but no revert by the Fabhotel team. About property, no access to phone and internet. Bad arrangements for breakfast. No parking space, was asked to park in an unsecured place. One of the worst experience in our travels till date."

"Drove a car there, there is sufficient space for 3 cars within the compound. Since the street is a dead end more cars can be parked just outside. Food was decent. Breakfast is complementary and included idli dosa and upma. Ordered dinner for a day. I would say not a seasoned hand with any other cuisine other than South Indian. Room was clean and neat. Beds were comfortable. Overall stay was satisfactory and happy to recommend to others. P.S. Requires good driving skills to reach the hotel spot."

"The property is good and clean, situated on the two km outskirt of Ooty town and has greenery all around. The staffs were courteous and helpful. However we felt the shortage of staffs,as the manager was saying the staffs were on leave. He himself rendered good service to the extent possible. Since the cook was on leave, he allowed us to bring outside food and have it. The fab staff was committed to what he promised. "Pros: Well maintained rooms. Very neat and clean Hotel. Cooperative staffs. Peaceful and quite locality. Good ambience. Cons: Poor quality of food. Very interior from the Ooty city. No transport from the hotel to main road. Room heater comes with extra charge (Rs.500 per day). No mobile network. If you want to break all connections from the world and relax for 2 days. it's the best place to check in. However, if you are going to go places and want to roam around, look out for an alternate."

"Distance: From funcity busstop, road is not good, it is full of pits. Reception hospitality was not good. I booked executive room from fab hotels site, it was mentioned as the room has AC but it didn't have it. In early morning, we felt suffocating badly. This is the worst experience I had ever have. I strongly not recommend this executive room for children and the persons need extra care. I would like to have this the only experience I had with Fabhotel Vinu vally resort."

"What was good : NOTHING. rooms were clean. What was bad : Unprofessional front desk person. Wouldn't want to help with luggage. No car parking available. Have to find a spot to park the car even while taking out the luggage. Lights went off for the whole night and no one was available at reception to help us out. Utter non polite reception guys. Non attentive... Total waste of money. Fab hotel u r not fab but really poor at hospitality. Will never ever go to any fab hotels."

"This was my first visit to Ooty and booking our stay here was probably the best decision. The rooms are spacious and cozy, the view lovely and it is centrally located. The staff do go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and provide prompt service. We stayed here for four nights and absolutely loved it. The staff are friendly and helpful. They helped us get tickets for the toy train as well as provided useful tips on places to visit. The food is pretty decent as well."

"Very bad experience. Worst hotel to stay. Booked from make my trip. On the day of check-in got a call from fab hotels saying my booking is cancelled giving some lame excuse. Although I had checked with their customer care 3 days before and got a confirmation that my booking is there, than after repeated calling they gave booking at 2 different hotels. Very bad customer care service . Please book at your own risk. They can cancel your booking at last moment. Avoid fab hotels"

"We had difficulty during the night on the check lnbdayas the whether was very cold and room heater was not provided despite our enquiry about availability of the facility while checking in. Next morning when we expressed our very bitter experience and our dissatisfaction, we were told that the heater can be on rental bsia. This is very strange. I fact room heaymust part of standard i facility at such cold hill stations. Hope this aspect will be taken care of henceforth"

"This is new hotel just opened 5 days ago. Very friendly and supportive staff's. Manager Gangadhar is very helpful. Restaurant food is like home made food limited choice but tasty. 24 hours Hot Water available. No Fan in the room but i dont think it is required. Overall its good hotel for stay in Ooty City. Little bit difficult to reach the hotel but if you could contact hotel in advance they can help you to the place without difficulty. Car Parking is also available."

"Dear All, The hotel is awesome. I just enjoyed. They have done the infra-structure and the interiors with good quality and with excellent design. Looks little reserved from the city (just 5 kms from ooty) but still it is awesome. The staffs are really friendly. Compliment breakfast is awesome. A full-packed hotel with all the basic amenity. They have a plan to construct a park with lawn in the near future. Kudos guys. We really enjoyed."

"We travelled here on March 3rd, 2018 and got a good deal. Property has been built recently and hence is in its best condition. The approach road of 300 mtrs was in a bad shape. Stay was comfortable and staff was helpful and hospitable. Rooms are cosy and good enough for a couple. Breakfast was average and just had idli and upma. Food options for lunch / dinner were very limited and needs to be ordered couple of hours in advance."

"Wow, such a wonderful stay. We never had any problem regarding water or cleanliness. Everything was perfect. The road towards the hotel is bit sandy but apart from that everything else is good. Bathroom was very clean. There was a balcony and the interior decoration is quite good. Hotel staff were good and we had a nice hospitality. I will definitely recommend this hotel. Very happy with the stay."

Many star rated hotels with better services charging the same price. Approach road is under construction. At one point only one vehicle can go or come at a time. "Even after confirm booking of three rooms, we were told that we have only two rooms. After waiting for one hour, we were given all three rooms Room was new and clean. But looking into cold water heater was not adequate"

"They have only one cook. At least a helper to the cook would help them manage the schedules better. Its a new property and very well maintained. Food served is tasty and available at a reasonable price. They tried to accommodate the requests to the best of the abilities. Personal thanks to the cook who served us breakfast an hour early than their scheduled time."

"Pros: New property, clean shiny rooms, bathrooms, superb breakfast, parking, extra bed, polite staff (Specially santosh) . . Cons: Staff kept asking please take care of the property as if we are coming to a hotel first time and while leaving searching for an ash tray which was not there as if we stole that. No other network than Jio and broken approach road"

"I had worst experience with vinu valley. Hotel Manager refused to provide us the room initially as they have some issues with fab hotels management. After 1hr the issue was resolved with them & they allowed us for check-in. Stay was good & but they have to learn how to behave with guest at the time of check-in. I wont recommend anyone for future.."

"No Fab Hotel boards leading to property. Mattresses still encased in plastic covers detracted from the comfort. Water accumulation in bathroom in the first room allocated. Toiletries had to be sought, still received only soap n bath gel. (Dental kit, Shaving kit ???) New property so clean. Tasteful interiors & furniture. Proximity to City centre."

"Hotel location is worst.. It's located in such narrow road... It's very dangerous while coming in Car. No quality of foods n Breakfast is hopeless They way the publish pics it's not match at all. Only positive is Rooms are spacious n Staff are co-operative... It's not worth to stay there ... I feel our money got wasted while staying there..."

"Cleanliness was upto mark but staff support is not good. Weather is too cold we had kid with us we asked for room heater but they said it's chargeable 500per day. No consideration at all. And in the name of complimentary breakfast they provide only idly and same chutneys. And you won't get any view from your room. I don't recommend to anyone."

"Very bad hotel. As they lied us that there is a/c in hotel but there was no a/c and we have to pay 2000 for hotel for 2 nights. Hotel is not at all good. Not much varieties in food. Location is not at all good they call it fun city but they are garages in the way. Food was not all good. Worst food. So i recommend not to choose this hotel"
