"Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Ooty! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH was extremely friendly, and deserves a very special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. During our stay in Ooty, (13th to 15th of July 2018) at the time of check-out, we've forgotten our towel in the Cottage room. After reaching at Coimbatore, when I found that I've forgotten my towel in Fabhotel Vinu Valley Resorts, immediately I called to supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH and he asked me to send my complete residential address to him and suggested me to speak with manager MR. SATHISH R., I spoke to him and both of the guys ensured me that they are going to dispatch this towel by courier. On 17th of July 2018, they pushed that courier from Ooty and updated me over whatsapp with the pics of packed parcel along with courier receipt. On 18th of July 2018, when I reached at home, just after two days on 20th of July 2018, I've received courier at my door step. Their quick response is really really very much appreciable. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH who does a great job here; a true benchmark of excellent hospitality! Once again, I would like to thankful to manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH. May God bless of them and Fabhotel group too. All the very best, keep the spirit up. Best wishes. ????????"

"What was good-During check-in, I saw one bigger room available. asked about it and got a free upgrade to larger room with a balcony. Had Wifi Got idli, bread jam and semiya upma for Complimentary breakfast... Had geyser in the room which was convenient They agreed to park my car on the front side. What was bad- Location, location...Google map took us to an incorrect location. later was routed to the correct address by local people.. The road was pathetic...just big stones (road washed away in rain) and not a proper road up to near and then steep one-way road... I wouldn't recommend this hotel just for this road condition The bedspread on the bed was not clean so I asked to change...the towels were wet, intercom doesnt work..had to walk to reception for anything... I went in Jan just after the New Year.. The room was very cold..colder than outside temperature 15'C ...no heater. During check-in we were asked to show proof of marriage... they asked for MC..never had this problem in any hotels...good I had one photo with mala and they accepted it..they said its FabHotel's policy and they have to check it. Will not recommend FabHotel again.. Low ratings just for the location, check-in and facilities"

"Pros: The property is new. The rooms are nicely designed and clean. The place is calm and a couple of Kms away from the city. The staffs are courteous. Cons: The food options needs to be terribly improved. Over 3 days of stay in the hotel the complimentary breakfast served was only idlis, chutney, sambar and Semiya Upma and coffee or tea (on additional request we were served 2 dosas, toast and omlet). The law of diminishing marginal utility took effect by the third day in us and I'm not gonna have idlis for a fortnight atleast. The panner butter masala that we ordered from the A€ la carte menu was bad too and we ended up wasting more than half of what we were served. The room was not attending for cleaning even once in entire 3 days of stay. It dint not matter to us as we dont like messing up the room. But from the experience of traveling often, in most hotels the rooms are cleaned, the sheet made and the towels changed atleast once in two days over a long stay. Approach road to the hotel (a few meters) will give you a bit of off roading experience. Over all it is a nice place to stay if you are not expecting too much in terms of in house recreational activities and great food."

"Positive : Room was neat and clean. Toilet was very clean with 24 hrs hot water. Breakfast was good but for our three days stay idli, sambar was the default menu. Staff have been very attentive and helpful. Since this is a new hotel supervisors were concerned about the cleanliness of room (if you have kids, be alert). Negative : After reading lots of reviews I booked this hotel, all reviewers concerned about the location of the hotel which is well outside the main place which I did not took seriously. Location is a big minus as it is 3kms away from the main and road leading to the hotel is very steep, narrow and bad. If you have a own transportation then this will not be a major concern. Every time when I stepped out I needed to spend 200 rs for an auto, lastly I rented a bike for commute and 600 rs per day for 3 days was spent in addition. Restaurant in the hotel will provide you only the free breakfast and for all others you need to go outside and again it was very hectic to ride from hotel to main area and back. Recommended for the cleanliness of the rooms and calm atmosphere, would not recommend for the location. For me only once and will not go back."

"Just avoid booking this else you will spoil your holiday. They are very unprofessional. I second all the bad reviews given by people before me on this thread. Interestingly even after repeated bad reviews and commitment from the management to look into the matter since 2018 nothing has changed here. Everything is on the whims and fancies of the staff. Given below are some pointers:- rooms do not have a standard arrangement. Some deluxe rooms have a kettle the other doesn't even have a proper bed, let alone the kettle. It has iron cots. - cockroaches in the tea flask- we had ordered separate milk with black tea. They gave us milk which had gone off. It was sour milk. This was our morning tea. - complimentary breakfast has only idli which repeats itself everyday. - tea is served in dirty broken mugs. - we had to leave for Conoor early morning for which we had asked the hotel to book a cab for 9.30. No cab arrived till. No one followed up, no infirmation. No handover to the new person after change of duty. Finallyafter lot of uncomfortable exchabge of words we got a cab after one hour. Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Our last lap of holiday sucked."

"I wish I could give negative ratings to this cheap and awful hotel. No wifi, no service, staff lacks experience, tasteless food worst of all the rooms... The bed made alot of noise even with the slightest movement, they even don't have fans or air conditioners. They won't provide you water, and even fresh towels unless you ask them for it. Also the hotel is situated in a horrible horrible place you will have to cross so many narrow and steep slopes with no view, nothing, reaching their was a challenge in itself. I don't know what they ask so much money for... We made our plans at the last minute so we couldn't arrange the toy train tickets, so the manager offered us help saying I will send an employee from the hotel for your tickets which he couldn't get still he asked us to pay him the money which was 10 times the cost of tickets. The ticket fare was 25 Rs for which he asked for 250 Rs. From us.. They are burglars in the name of hoteliers. I would suggest people to rather sleep in the car than to go to stay in this horrendous hotel. That would literally be more comfortable than the Fab hotel vinu valley resorts (ooty)."

"Most of these reviews look like paid reviews and I fell for them. I searched for the best rated hotel in whole of Ooty and the result shown was Vinu Valley Resorts. Without thinking twice, I go ahead and book the stay for two nights. The major reasons why I booked the room here are the proximity from Tiger Hill view point (As described in their website) and the views from the room's balcony. Only after reaching here I understand that there is no view point at all near by. I even venture out and ask all the locals and the only reply I get is the only view point here is Doddabetta peak and it is 11kms away. The views from the room are non existent. The road condition from the main road to the property is very very poor. The rooms are OKish but nothing as fancy as shown all over the web. The parking is open to sky and the vehicles have to drench in rain the entire night. Complimentary Breakfast contained just Idly and Upma in both the days we stayed. The hotels right next to this property charge you 1200-1500 bucks a night, so i don't understand why you have to pay 3000 here. Definitely not worth the money you pay. Avoid it!"

"Few things that I want you to know about the hotel that I observed in my 4 day stay : 1. The hotel is located in outskirts of ooty. Not at all recommended for tourists who don't have their own traveling vehicle. Local auto drivers will charge very very high for up and down to any tourist's spot here. 2. Food served is also not at all good. Buffet breakfast is same daily, Idli and upma, that is also not served on time, they will say it will be ready by 8:30 am but it will be almost 9:15 for each and every thing to come to the table, so you may plan you day accordingly. 3. The name of hotel was not on the building when we reached so it was a bit confusing. 4. Many times there is no one at reception, you will have to search here and there to find any hotel staff."

"Only good thing about the hotel is the spacious rooms and good staff. The major concern was the security. The access road to the hotel is very narrow and in pathetic condition that it looks very unsafe, especially when you visit it with your family. Parking facility can be improved and its better if a security guy is appointed, so that your customers in future can feel safe. Also, the food can be made much better by improving it in terms of options, number of varieties in breakfast available, instead of asking to order something on Swiggy/Zomato. Also, room was not cleaned during our stay. As other hotels (at the same or even much lesser price) everywhere clean the room everyday, thats the minimum thing that should be done for all that we pay."
