Updated: 25/07/2025 Unpleasant experience this time due to the rain. Water was knee-deep and logged in front of the hotel. I recommend avoiding this place during the rainy season. I recently stayed for a week at Hotelfab Kzar Select on McLeod Street, Kolkata, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel is conveniently located near Park Street, with local transportation especially iconic tram is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the reception staff. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the room was spacious, which stood out compared to other properties I’ve stayed at in the area. The housekeeping staff was exceptional, with Mr. Akash being particularly noteworthy. He was honest, dedicated, and took great care in his work. A remarkable incident occurred during my stay: my wife’s gold ring accidentally fell in the hallway outside our room, and we were unaware of it. To our surprise, Mr. Akash knocked on our door and, with great honesty, showed us the ring, asking if it belonged to us. After confirming it was my wife’s, I thanked Mr. Akash and rewarded him with a small gift. If the hotel management or owner is reading this, I kindly request that Mr. Akash and his team be recognized for their honesty and dedication. Acts like these should be encouraged, as they inspire others to uphold similar standards. Overall, I highly recommend Hotelfab Kzar Select for its great location, excellent amenities, and the honest and helpful staff. It truly made our stay in Kolkata special!

The hotel looked good in photos, though Google reviews were mixed, so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, my experience was closer to the negative reviews. On arrival, I was shown multiple rooms – all had a damp, unpleasant smell, some had just been painted and the fumes hadn’t dried, making them unsuitable. I was travelling with my 68-year-old father, so staying in such conditions for 3 days was not possible, especially after paying a premium. After I raised my concern, the staff showed me another room. It was slightly better but still far from clean. Bigger rooms had stained, moldy sofas, the commode wasn’t properly cleaned, and the TV didn’t work until they replaced a broken remote. The staff kept repeating that they were giving me a “big room complimentary,” but honestly, I would have preferred a smaller, clean room instead. The only positive was that the staff were polite and tried to help, but the overall standards of maintenance, hygiene, and facilities were well below expectations. Sadly, I will not be choosing this hotel again and hope the management addresses these issues seriously.

Curtains inside bathroom as well as on windows are too much dirty, room floors are too much sticky and hair are all over the floor means no proper cleaning, no toilet paper are available here, bed sheets are too dirty and unorganized manner. I will suggest you, if anyone go to stay there, without proper inquiry don't book online. But one thing is absolutely good, that was staff, so humble, kind and cooperative.

I had an unpleasant experience at this hotel. The room itself was average, but I was very disappointed with the overall stay. The room had cockroaches, the geyser was not working, and the service was poor and extremely slow. Despite raising concerns, the response from the staff was not satisfactory. I had booked the hotel online and was not aware of the location in advance, but unfortunately, the locality also did not feel nice or comfortable. Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and unsuitable location.

I booked a deluxe room at this hotel on September 9th through the Fabhotels application, paying in advance. However, upon arrival, the room was completely different from the one showcased in the app. To make matters worse, the AC was not functioning, leaving us to sweat it out in the sweltering heat. The bathroom door didn't even have a lock, which was unsettling. Even the cleanliness was not up to the mark, with noticeable dirt and dust in the room. When we brought these issues to the hotel attendant's attention, they shifted the blame to Fabhotels, claiming that the app's photos were not representative of the actual room. Essentially, they admitted that Fabhotels was misleading customers. This experience was a complete disaster for my family and me. We wasted our money and time in a subpar room. I demand a refund, at the very least a partial one (50%).

No dental kits, no fridge, no lockers, open bathroom windows with no glasses, untidy smelly rooms and bed sheets. You’ll keep scratching the moment you’ll lie down on the bed. Except location nothing is good in this hotel. You’ll see hotel staff lying down on the sofas in the lobby. Shady hotel. Don’t book
