The property is more like a homestay with around six rooms. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The location is good and feels like a home away from home. The lady managing the place is polite and well-behaved. However, during my two-day stay, I faced some issues. The water pressure from the tap was very low, and when the cap was removed, sand particles were coming out with the water. The washroom flush was also not working properly and needs a complete check by a plumber. The geyser was working fine. I would also suggest exploring breakfast options outside in Varanasi, as the local breakfast spots are really awesome. Overall, the stay was decent because of the location and hospitality, but maintenance improvements are needed.

**Title: Horrible Experience - Do Not Stay Here!** **Rating: 1/5** I checked out today from Hotel Hari Kunj in Varanasi, where I stayed from 25-08-2024 to 28-08-2024 (Booking ID: ZPDGOE). My experience was terrible, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Firstly, there was no one to help us with our luggage when we arrived, even though the hotel is located on the 1st floor, requiring us to climb 32 stairs. This was especially challenging as I was traveling with my elderly parents. Despite requesting an early check-in at 10:00 hrs through the booking.com app, we were only given our rooms at 12:00 hrs. We had booked two identical rooms with balconies, but what we got was not what was advertised. Room 102 was slightly bigger, but the balcony was unusable because the AC unit was installed right behind the balcony door, making it inaccessible. The room was clean, but the bathroom was a disaster. Sand was coming out of the water tap, making it impossible even to wash our faces. When I asked the staff about this, they casually responded, "Ganga mein Pani Jada hai, is liye Balu a raha hai," which is completely unacceptable. The staff was uncooperative and unhelpful throughout our stay. They do not offer room service but gave us a number for an outside restaurant named "Payash." The food from the restaurant was good, but when we asked for plates, spoons, and bowls, one staff member rudely refused, saying they didn't have any spoons available. We stayed for three nights, but the bed linens were never changed, and the rooms and bathrooms were not cleaned until I had to request it multiple times. To make matters worse, there were small rats in the room, and the hotel staff seemed unconcerned about pest control. During our stay, my father fell ill, and when I asked the staff for a doctor, they claimed they didn't know where any doctors were located. We had to go to Ramkrishna Mission's hospital on our own. When we returned, my father was struggling to climb the 32 stairs, and despite three staff members being present, none of them offered any assistance. This was the most disappointing aspect of our stay. To top it all off, when we checked out today, two boys approached us asking for tips, which was completely outrageous given the lack of service we received. It was a terrible stay. We have booked superior double room with breakfast included. While check in we wanted to check the room but receptionists asked us to pay full and final payment prior check in to the room. First room which was shown after check in was very bad, The room was stinking, there was no ventilation and suffocating which was rejected by us. We had to stay in delux room which was cheaper than we had paid. That room was also stinking, the bad smell was from bath room , Bathroom, the water connection was leaking. There was only one small window in the room. We had managed that night with great difficulty. Next day they offered us a superior double room room no 304. In the evening found that the water heater was not working. It took about 3 hour to repair the water heater by electrician and we were able to take bath at around mid night. we have booked room including breakfast and paid extra cost. But there was no restaurant the restaurant on top floor was not operational. The breakfast was served in the room was from street, which was of very low quality, only variety 4 Puri bhaji or 2nos of edlies and one plain dosa. The room was not cleaned properly every day. There are only 4 nos of staff, one of them is assigned to clean the toilet, one for sweeping and two for preparing beds, the man was assigned to clean toilet and bathroom brings the breakfast from out side. First 2 days there was no WIFI Service , after lot of request the service was provided but the speed was very slow and not able to perform as my work.
