Saidapet, also known as Saidai, is a neighbourhood in the city of Chennai. It is home to several landmarks, such as Saidapet Court which is the only other court of judicature in the capital city besides Madras High Court. Another important landmark in this neighbourhood is the Panagal Maligai Building, which functions as a revenue office. Saidapet is also famous for Karaneeswarar Temple which is thronged by devotees, especially during the annual 10-day Brahmotsavam, Chithirai Thiruvizha, and Pradosham. How to Reach Saidapet

Saidapet can be easily reached by air, rail, and road. Chennai International Airport is around 8.4 km away from Saidapet, which can be reached within 20 minutes by taxi or cab. You can also opt for the rapid transit system - metro - from the airport to reach Saidapet metro station, which lies on the Blue Line of Chennai Metro. Moreover, Saidapet railway station is a part of Chennai Suburban Railway Network that connects the neighbourhood to numerous parts of the city. Another mode of transportation available for you to travel from and to different parts of the city and outskirts is MTC bus service. Buses ply between this neighbourhood’s MTC bus terminus on Anna Salai and other parts of Chennai on a regular basis.
