"This Home stay masquerading as a hotel is located on top of a hillock barely 400 meters from the Botanical garden. The front lawn has a good view. The road leading to the hotel is steep climb and for senior citizens it will be very tough to walk up so a car or transport is a must. The first thing that greets you after you turn the gaze from the lawn is all the junk that has been stored next to the dogs cages. When we reached there was no one at the Reception Desk, we had booked two rooms and were given rooms on different floors. We inquired and found that The Manager a lady will be back in 30 Min. Rooms are small, old, basic and stuffy. Extra bed for our child which was charged was not provided. We felt the need for Fans which were not available Wall paper on one wall was peeling off. The Room had hot water Kettles but no tea bags and sugar was provided. On being asked we were told that it has to be arranged by the guests. Soap was provided on request The Breakfast served is limited with no variation. They have no staff. I saw a max of 3 to 4 people to run the kitchen, reception, room service and housekeeping. On the second day the Reception Lady was manning the Kitchen. We had to carry our own luggage there was no help around. Later on i came to know from one of our drivers that until a few years back these place used to be a Guest house for Punjab national bank. The owners bungalow is adjacent. The place has lots of potential but its all wasted."

"I stayed for 5 days from 11 to 16 September and enjoyed the wonderful experience The room and bathroom were clean, the linen fresh, good quality toiletries, geyser working well, toilet paper given on request and payment declined Vinita, Kiran went out of their way to help - all staff were courteous and service oriented Breakfast was adequate and tasty .. idlis chutney sambar, another veg dish, bread butter egg Food in restaurant has to be ordered .. i did not find it expensive. Suggestions and improvements acted upon and special requests catered for. Explain clearly and you will get excellent food. View spectacular as on a hill. Walk up from bottom takes only 13 mins and down 7 and 7 to the gardens too. Auto costs 60 rupees and easily ordered. Pleasant garden /// some staff may not be well trained so please tell them nicely if they are lacking .. i found them very willing to learn and change /// ALTOGETHER A GREAT EXPERIENCE .. THANK YOU VINITA AND ALL STAFF WHOSE NAMES I HAVE FORGOTTEN .. 2 VISITORS WANTED TO LEAVE THEIR HOTEL AND COME AND STAY BUT PLACE WAS FULL .. "I am writing this review so that some other gullible tourist does not get fooled by the photos posted on various websites of this property. The front facade photo appears to be filtered. I regret that I got fooled by the hotel photos posted on various websites. In reality, it is just a poorly maintained homestay, with neither the ambience of a homestay nor any proper amenities. The bathroom does not even have a shower! Pot is disgusting and old. The wallpaper in my room (Deluxe room on ground floor, I think it was 106) was torn, seepage in the walls, curtains were of cheap material, the owner's dog litters all over the property! I am not exaggerating but it was a horrendous experience for 4000 Rs per night room! Other occupants also complained about this property. Few reviews heaping artificial praise on the property must be the paid ones!"

"We had booked executive room but we received deluxe room(as per the pics seen on booking.com) . As per the owner of the property the room which we got is executive room only and there is from booking.com. whatever the confusion may be but we were not at all comfortable with the room. Food was extremely bad. We understand it's a homestay and lot of food option will not be available but we expect what ever food we get at least to be average. There are no dedicated staff for anything. No receptionist, no cook, no security guard, all the staff over there are multi tasking. We had to call owner all the time even for little things. For the amount that we paid we expected better experience and also lot of other options were available but we chose this coz of FAB HOTEL brand. Very unhappy."

"This has nothing to do with hotel. You morons had an overbooking and there was only one room available at the hotel for me (who booked room months in advance). This was notified a day before from the hotel to your inventory team who just sat on that info instead of notifying me or shifting me to other hotels. The customer service told me that he had booked another room in a different hotel for me and I can adjust there. Funny thing is, when I reached the second hotel, they told they hadna€™t accepted the booking since all their rooms were already full . This was just wow and the customer service agent who promised to look into it has yet to reach me . Thanks for ruining my vacation. I can vouch that I will never use or recommend fabhotel ever again."

"Service was very poor. Room service didn't pick my call even a single time during my 3 days stay. If you need water , coffee tea, you need to personally go to kitchen and request for everything . Kitchen was dirty . Breakfast was not up to the mark . They don't have even electric toster.....No change of bedsheets and towels . Toiletries quality was very bad. No shower in bathroom.Hot water was not coming on third day .No travel desk. This hotel spoiled my vacation. As per fab hotel tagline ,they should refund my money . Simply if you want peace of mind don't go there ... Pictures lured me but one can't drink and eat pictures...Good Service required which is not there .Be carefully while booking this HOMESTAY."

"What was good : Superb location. Sparkly clean. No noise. No pollution. Tasty breakfast made by local people. Awesome people. Especially I would like to thank Stalin for his recommendable service. He not only provided us good service but also took care of us as a family member. Have guided us with many things. Such a homely feeling. God bless this guy. This property has an amazing garden inside it decorated with beautiful flowers and orchids and a small veggies garden. They took care of the nature very well. There are 3 pet dogs to take care of your safety. I will definitely come again to this place. Highly recommend for couples and families. What was bad : Struggling to find any drawback."

"I have been booked many hotels undrr fab hotel, but this is the worst as of now.except big room nothing is positive about this hotel. Location is at extreme end with worst roads. They dont have dinner or lunch facility and which was not mentioned during booking. Complimentary breakfast was available only for one day and other day there was no breakfast and they very proudly informed that it is not available without regret. There was no housekeeping for any of the day. And the rooms became very dirty and we ourself had to clean our rooms. At a glace my holiday was a nightmare and fab hotel is responsible for that. Fab vroup should chk the locations and facilities before registering a hotel."

"Nice hotel, actually u can't say hotel but kinda homestay. The water for bathing was not coming hot from geaser in 3 of the rooms amongs our 4 rooms. Suffered a lot. Moreover the hotel has only one staff performing all the duties named Mahesh. though he is very nice, gentle n c operative. He handles customer well. But due to lack of other staff he can't provide service to everyone. There's only 1 person for all the things such as cooking food, serving and room service. It's a strange that hotel is having only 1 person as a staff. Also breakfast was limited items n butter wasn't available with bread. Improvement in service needs a lot bt property is good."

"Room was immediately outside the reception. I mean, 5 meters. I asked for change immediately for privacy reasons but denied by Manikanta, who is supposedly happiness manager. No food menu. 2 hrs notice for room service in night. No emergency light during electricity failure, the guy apparently did not know how to switch on generator. French fries had corn flour, which means they are not french fries but Ooty version of it. The happiness officer said we are only one complaining when I was asked for feedback. Dont take feedback if you have to deny it on my face. No sign board of fab hotels near the vicinity nor any local no provided. Overall not fab at all."

"Horrible, we booked this property considering your tag line but everything was contrary except for the view/location. Rooms were not clean Insects in room Water was yellow and very dirty, not treated. Breakfast options were not great and had to wait for food. Over all it is a regret to book this property. Called your centralised customer care but they hung up and no call back. Called guest delight officer R.Sathish but his phone was with someone else. With no option to move out as was traveling with parents n kids had to bear this shit. Linen was torn and had stains Had booked for extra bed but not provided."

"I had booked two rooms. Rooms lacked ventilation, with old furniture. Bed linen could have been better cleaned. Ambience was not up to expectation. Walls inside room were water soaked due to which it was very cold inside. Inside bathroom, drainage tile was broken, water was leaking from bathroom ceiling and always a bad smell from bathroom. Upon asking a different room, I was told property is fully occupied. Only good thing was dedicated parking, but the space is limited. We paid 25%-part payment to get the rooms confirmed and expected a much neat and clean room. You will get much better room at this price."

The owners of the property were very friendly,Vineetha mam gave lots of information about places to visit n Ooty. Don't miss the organic strawberries which they grow here.. Felt like home Thanks St.Clouds for the awesome experience. You made our vacation very pleasant and exciting.I Will strongly recommended this place to my friends and well wishers and I would love to visit the place again"

"Location- View from the hotel is mesmerising but its located on the very top of hills, so ots very steep. Nobody can walk and go till the top. Suggestion hotel should provide some cab service on 3 hours intervals to come down. Door of the rooms are Pathetic, they dont have space in between, the chill winds in the night come inside of the room. Washroom door dont have the nob to close from outside. Breakfast was light and good, but have limited options. There is no dinner facility at the premises. You have to order from Swiggy to have dinner."

"Fabulous place to stay. I was there for three days with my wife.. Scenic location. Barely 1 km from botanical garden.. But u will feel u r far far off from city life. They have an ever obliging staff who r there to make sure ur stay is pleasant. Not to mention their cook cum administrator Mahesh who manages everything with a smile. Least but not the least..the homely tasty food Mahesh dishes out makes u feel more at home although the price is on a bit higher side.. But believe me.. It is worth it. It is a FAB place to spend ur holidays."

"What was good-cute property with a decent view from the hill top. What was bad- the drinking water provided was always dirty with mud particles. considering that professional 3 star hotels provide excellent breakfast at this price point, the breakfast here is certainly disappointing. just 1 or 2 items available for breakfast, taste is just ok. i dont expect a 10 course breakfast, but they could certainly do better . there is absolutely no lunch or dinner here, so u still need to depend on swiggy ."

"No concept of hotel staff.. first of all it's not a hotel it's a homestay..one guy managing all the guests.. no one to answer at the reception..no one to take responsibility for anything.. when you complain, they ask to call fab hotel helpline instead of helping there..and the helpline like always asks to put an email as we're on a holiday to play emails with you and have no better things to do..bad experience.. I won't suggest Fab hotel to anyone after this experience"

"I stayed for 3 days at the hotel and it was an nice experience. The property is very lush green and located walking distance from botanical garden and a very beautiful church. The staff were very humble and welcoming. I am pleased with their commitment as in when i asked to prepare khichdi for my kid they were ready to prepare. Though food options are less beacuse it is more like homely rather resturants. However quality and sanitation is better. I am sure want to come back.."

"The Experience was really bad I booked a room for 2 guest and went with my two kids also. I have asked to pay Rs 1400 by cash for additional beds and early check in all without bill moreover they charged me Rs 360 for the tea they have provided this also without bill. No adequate staffs the bed linens and pillow covers were not changed no towels provided we demanded for the same. Drinking water the provided from the common tap. Overall not recommended"
