This place is an exact 3.5 stars, The service was incredible. They even gave a guidebook to go places within Ooty. The food was delicious, We ordered pakora was crispy and the best we ever had. They could add some more cleanliness in the bedroom and restaurant.

Rooms are good but amenities are poor. No soap holder in the bathrooms. No help extended for local tours although assured. The b.fast menu was very limited and there should have been some more options. Service people are too lethargic and were arrogant. No service available in night time. Reception is also most of the times unattended. Phone calls are also not answered. Importantly I felt that I have been overcharged due to the size of the room which is not a criteria as no premium amenities were inside the room. Even the commode was yellow stained and no proper cleaning was there in the room. Tea stains were there in the table and the menu card , no one came to clean although asked for. Wifi service was having no connectivity.Overall not a positive feedback on the part of service and the facility.

Owner of the property was helpful and offered all types of help he could but the rooms were so untidy, that we dint had his help. Seems like a cheap copy of OYO rooms suitable for 1k.per night types. Not sure how Fab Hotels took this property under their banner and didn't worked on it. Took me 3hrs on Saturday morning to sort this with Customer care of Fab hotel. My clicked pictures says it all, not gonna elaborate much here.. Location is at the curvy dead end where there is no lights in the evening.. Rooms need complete renovation before opening for public. Bathroom needs repair too. Cleanliness needs much attention than all factors. No lift in the premises, have to do up n down yourself. Checked in at 8pm and checked out early morning next day...

The telephone connection was not working. How could we connect to the reception? TV was not working. When I asked about this to the receptionist he was responding carelessly and rudely as what he can do? Blankets are not clean. Towels are torn and not clean. Except shower nothing was good. We paid for both premium room (for which they charge Rs. 1000 more) and deluxe room. But deluxe room was better than the premium room. Even that deluxe room was not having proper lock to lock the door. Evety time we had to use key to lock the door. No proper mats available at room. Not even a single fan available in rooms. How the wet cloths and wet people can dry themself in such a cool climate? Charges are very high compared to the facilities provided. We booked the hotel room with breakfast. Only two items oothappam and some kind of seviya upma provided which was not even tasty and of good quality. The spoons were also not clean. Waste of money. Next time we would not book this hotel room neither will suggest to others.

So receptionist guy didn’t even let us checked in as he needs 200 bucks more than our booking amount and then extra 500 bucks for early checking and then after that he was not even talking directly, was kept on saying that talk to customer care and resolve it. FAB hotels customer care is also a joke, we tried calling them 28 times but was not able to connect to the team which handles confirmed booking only new reservation we could have reached and every time they disconnect the call. Being left on our own in an unknown city during peak season just for few hundred extra bucks is really a dishonest way of operating. I would recommend to never book with this hotel.

Staff is very rude and not responding properly. Photos are looking good.but rooms are bad. They are charged the breakfast amount even we have cancelled before 24 hours. My suggestion is don't book this hotel in online. Online people only responsible till you are confirming the booking. After that they are not in view. The staff didn't have commen sense. They are not provided hot water properly in time atleast for children. I have stayed 2 days. They will show online lot of facilities but there is no proper facilities. No lift. Nobody will respond in reception in night time. They had put uncleaned bed sheets. They have changed when we are asked. Only tv is there. No kannada channels.They have not recharged even after we asked. Don't became foolish by seeing photos in online.

It was a worst experience at Fab hotels Sholay residency, Ooty - the rooms are not at all as shown in the images. We were shown 2 different rooms and both of them were really dusty (even on the walls), furnitures had some fungal kinda thing on it. Bedsheets, pillow covers and all are really old and not cleaned (had hairs on it). We were provided with expired coffee powder sachets initially. Some other guests were also discussing on taking another hotel for stay. On the other side - staff were really good, ample car parking space, really good accessibility to town (just 10 minutes walk to A2B). Would not prefer it for a family as such. But then if you are looking for a budget friendly space, then go for it.

The worst hotel one could ever get. They are completely fraudulent. Please do not trust them or reserve rooms here. They provide terrible service, the staff is extremely uncourteous and rude, the rooms are dark and smelly, there is no hot water, no drinking water and the food is something even dogs won’t eat. And they will try to grab extra money through every opportunity they get, over and above the unreasonable pricing of the rooms. Staying here is not recommended at all. They will never refund your booking amount as well if you are unable to stay there. This business should shut down.

The worst stay ever.the staff is very arrogant.extrely rude and the service is very very poor.They room is filled with dust and there were garbage left behind by the previous guests.they do not provide heater and the hot water is also not available.tje drinking water is from some unknown source. Very dirty linen and extremely poor quality towels.
