About Chromepet, Chennai

Chromepet is a residential locality in the Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA), located about 24 km from the heart of the city. With a history that dates back to the Cholas, it is also one of the oldest neighborhoods in Chennai. Located on the sides of Grand Southern Trunk Road (GST Road), Chromepet is connected to some of the major neighborhoods in the CMA such as Thambaram, Thirumudivakkam, Thoraipakkam, and Pallavaram. It is also home to Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Tamil Nadu.
