Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Ooty! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH was extremely friendly, and deserves a very special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. During our stay in Ooty, (13th to 15th of July 2018) at the time of check-out, we've forgotten our towel in the Cottage room. After reaching at Coimbatore, when I found that I've forgotten my towel in Fabhotel Vinu Valley Resorts, immediately I called to supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH and he asked me to send my complete residential address to him and suggested me to speak with manager MR. SATHISH R., I spoke to him and both of the guys ensured me that they are going to dispatch this towel by courier. On 17th of July 2018, they pushed that courier from Ooty and updated me over whatsapp with the pics of packed parcel along with courier receipt. On 18th of July 2018, when I reached at home, just after two days on 20th of July 2018, I've received courier at my door step. Their quick response is really really very much appreciable. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH who does a great job here; a true benchmark of excellent hospitality! Once again, I would like to thankful to manager MR. SATHISH R. & supervisor MR. JENIL JOSEPH. May God bless of them and Fabhotel group too. All the very best, keep the spirit up. Best wishes. ????????
This place is an exact 3.5 stars, The service was incredible. They even gave a guidebook to go places within Ooty. The food was delicious, We ordered pakora was crispy and the best we ever had. They could add some more cleanliness in the bedroom and restaurant.
Pros: The property is new. The rooms are nicely designed and clean. The place is calm and a couple of Kms away from the city. The staffs are courteous. Cons: The food options needs to be terribly improved. Over 3 days of stay in the hotel the complimentary breakfast served was only idlis, chutney, sambar and Semiya Upma and coffee or tea (on additional request we were served 2 dosas, toast and omlet). The law of diminishing marginal utility took effect by the third day in us and I'm not gonna have idlis for a fortnight atleast. The panner butter masala that we ordered from the A€ la carte menu was bad too and we ended up wasting more than half of what we were served. The room was not attending for cleaning even once in entire 3 days of stay. It dint not matter to us as we dont like messing up the room. But from the experience of traveling often, in most hotels the rooms are cleaned, the sheet made and the towels changed atleast once in two days over a long stay. Approach road to the hotel (a few meters) will give you a bit of off roading experience. Over all it is a nice place to stay if you are not expecting too much in terms of in house recreational activities and great food.
What was good-During check-in, I saw one bigger room available. asked about it and got a free upgrade to larger room with a balcony. Had Wifi Got idli, bread jam and semiya upma for Complimentary breakfast... Had geyser in the room which was convenient They agreed to park my car on the front side. What was bad- Location, location...Google map took us to an incorrect location. later was routed to the correct address by local people.. The road was pathetic...just big stones (road washed away in rain) and not a proper road up to near and then steep one-way road... I wouldn't recommend this hotel just for this road condition The bedspread on the bed was not clean so I asked to change...the towels were wet, intercom doesnt work..had to walk to reception for anything... I went in Jan just after the New Year.. The room was very cold..colder than outside temperature 15'C ...no heater. During check-in we were asked to show proof of marriage... they asked for MC..never had this problem in any hotels...good I had one photo with mala and they accepted it..they said its FabHotel's policy and they have to check it. Will not recommend FabHotel again.. Low ratings just for the location, check-in and facilities
Owner of the property was helpful and offered all types of help he could but the rooms were so untidy, that we dint had his help. Seems like a cheap copy of OYO rooms suitable for 1k.per night types. Not sure how Fab Hotels took this property under their banner and didn't worked on it. Took me 3hrs on Saturday morning to sort this with Customer care of Fab hotel. My clicked pictures says it all, not gonna elaborate much here.. Location is at the curvy dead end where there is no lights in the evening.. Rooms need complete renovation before opening for public. Bathroom needs repair too. Cleanliness needs much attention than all factors. No lift in the premises, have to do up n down yourself. Checked in at 8pm and checked out early morning next day...
We stayed for just one day at Fab Vinu Valley Resort in Ooty, booking directly for ₹1800. Honestly, it was not worth the money. The place is shown as a resort, but in reality, the rooms are like villa houses and do not give a resort feel. The approach road is very poor, and even the map shows an incorrect route. The property is also located on a steep slope, making it difficult to access. The cleanliness was very disappointing. Pillows and pillow covers were torn, towels were dirty, and nothing felt fresh. Basic amenities like toothbrush, paste were missing. mugs and glasses provided were not properly cleaned. For breakfast, they charged ₹100 per person but only gave a very small portion — 2 idlis, 1 poori, and 1 dosa — which was not tasty at all. The water also didn’t seem like RO water and tasted more like regular tap water. Even mirror is not in the room. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable, not value for money, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
The worst stay ever.the staff is very arrogant.extrely rude and the service is very very poor. They room is filled with dust and there were garbage left behind by the previous guests.they do not provide heater and the hot water is also not available.tje drinking water is from some unknown source. Very dirty linen and extremely poor quality towels.
Worst hotel to stay. Far away from city, no access to food or any amenities. Had to go to city for proper food and to travel had to spend 600 extra to auto. Room costed 2500 and had Zero View, when requested to change the room with a view they asked to pay 1000 extra. Zero customer service, waste of money.
One of the worst experience we had, just reached at hotel in morning and what we get to know is that FAB hotels is just booking partner of this hotel and they want more money than our booked amount. So receptionist guy didn’t even let us checked in as he needs 200 bucks more than our booking amount and then extra 500 bucks for early checking and then after that he was not even talking directly, was kept on saying that talk to customer care and resolve it. FAB hotels customer care is also a joke, we tried calling them 28 times but was not able to connect to the team which handles confirmed booking only new reservation we could have reached and every time they disconnect the call. Being left on our own in an unknown city during peak season just for few hundred extra bucks is really a dishonest way of operating. I would recommend to never book with this hotel.
Terrible experience. They charged us 3300 per day. But the rooms were sub-par, toiletries we had to ask for then only they will provide. As complementary breakfast they had only one item. They didn't even have omelette for breakfast. Bathrooms were stained. Hot water in a hill station like ooty only comes for certain hours. Room heating charges are extra. So all in all. We feel we have paid way way more than the service we received. Absolutely not at all recommended.
