About Golconda, Hyderabad

Golconda, also known as Golconda Fort, is a fortified citadel situated towards the west of the city of Hyderabad. Once popular as a flourishing diamond mining centre, the site is today considered to be an archaeological treasure and one of Hyderabad’s most frequented attractions. Hence, there are a good number of hotels near Golconda that make a suitable accommodation option for tourists.

There are not many shopping places around Hyderabad hotels near Golconda barring a few grocery stores. Most of the best malls in Hyderabad like GVK One are at least a 30 minutes’ drive away.     "Service of the staff was just exceptional - from the manager to the restaurant staff to the reception, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and attentive. Small gestures such as helping with calling a Doctor, or checking on needs of our children showed a genuine interest from the staff in being helpful. For example, the food had not been prepared as expected and the staff immediately replaced the item with an alternate without anything."

    "After travelling from chennai to the Hotel, only to find that bed Linens including Pillow covers been laid which were not washed and used for atleast last 10 customers.. the stains and rotten sweaty smell were intolerant. But the staff was courteous to give me another room which also was in same pathetic state and finally ended up in a big room but that bed sheet and covers appeared to have used atleast 4-5 times and i was totally tired and asked for a single clean bed sheet and slept on top of it. So this hotel may be suitable for those who never mind sleeping over and using multiple guest used but unwashed linens and can tolerate those sweaty stained unbearable smells."
