About Kothaguda, Hyderabad

Kothaguda is one of the fast-developing residential cum commercial neighbourhoods in the outskirts of Hyderabad, about 20 km away from the city centre. It is famous for Hyderabad Botanical Garden, which is a part of Kothaguda Reserve Forest. The locality is close to HITEC City (3 km), the major IT hub in Hyderabad and surrounded by many prime localities, such as Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhpur, Jubilee Hills, Hafeezpet and Kukatpally. The area boasts of quite a few residential properties, restaurants, commercial establishments, and some of the best budget hotels in Hyderabad, which are ideal for business travellers visiting HITEC City. As the locality is surrounded by many tourist attractions and provides hassle-free access to all parts of Hyderabad, tourists also prefer hotels in Kothaguda for accommodation.

Places to Visit in and around Kothaguda

Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy Botanical Garden or Hyderabad Botanical Garden is one of the top tourist attractions in Kothaguda, Hyderabad. This urban park spreads over 274 acres of land and is an ideal place to enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Those with a religious inclination can visit Sri Seetharamanjaneya Devasthanam while fitness freaks can head to Pala Pitta Cycling Park, located right next to the botanical garden. Shilparamam, the famous arts and crafts village in Hyderabad, is also located less than 2 kilometres away from the locality.

How to Reach Kothaguda

The locality is about 33 km away from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and about 21 km away from Kachiguda Railway Station. After reaching these transportation hubs, you can access your hotels in Kothaguda using cabs/taxis. Pushpak Airport Liner buses also offer services to and from the Botanical Garden and Gachibowli. The nearest metro station to access the locality is HITEC City (2.5 km) while the nearest MMTS stations are in Hafeezpet and HITEC City, both about 5 km away. You can also access Kothaguda using TSRTC buses.

    "Service of the staff was just exceptional - from the manager to the restaurant staff to the reception, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and attentive. Small gestures such as helping with calling a Doctor, or checking on needs of our children showed a genuine interest from the staff in being helpful. For example, the food had not been prepared as expected and the staff immediately replaced the item with an alternate without anything."
