About Chamundi Hills, Mysore

Green and tranquil, the Chamundi Hills are among the foremost religious sites and tourist attractions of Mysore. Rising to a height of around 3300 feet above sea level, the hills are home to the revered Chamundeshwari Temple. The shrine is reached via a staircase of just over 1000 steps carved into the mountainside, which also leads to a Nandi statue on the way.
