About Basheerbagh, Hyderabad

Basheerbagh is a commercial hub of Hyderabad situated not far from the famous Hussain Sagar Lake. The location is close to other commercial centres of the city, such as Himayat Nagar, Koti, Nampally and Abids. The bustling and well-connected area teems with government offices, business establishments, commercial high-rises, shopping destinations, movie theatres, eateries, and a good range of budget and business hotels in Hyderabad. Named after Nawab Sir Muhammad Mazharuddin Khan Bahadur, the 17th-century Prime Minister of Hyderabad, the area was once home to a palace built by him. Assembly Metro Station (2 km) on the Red Line is the nearest metro station to reach Basheerbagh while buses and auto-rickshaws are the local means of transportation to get in and around the locality. Hyderabad city buses run by Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) connect Basheerbagh to all major parts of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
