Gandipet, located in the outskirts of Hyderabad, is a village in the district of Ranga Reddy in Telangana. This name is more popularly used to refer to the reservoir – Osman Sagar – which was formed by damming the Musi River during the rule of Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad State.
