Tambaram West is a buzzing neighbourhood in the south-western part of the city of Chennai. The main reason behind the popularity of Chennai hotels here is that the area is home to the Madras Export Processing Zone, which houses offices and manufacturing facilities of a large number of companies. Other than this, Central Warehousing Corporation godown, Indira Cotton Mills, Madras Institute of Technology and Thirumudivakkam SIDCO are also close by. Apart from businesspersons, the locality is also preferred by transit travellers owing to its closeness to the airport.

Good location, worth for money. Hotel reception is very helpful
I travel to Chennai a lot for work and have stayed at quite a few hotels, but my experience at Tristar was something else. It honestly felt like a second home! Big thanks to Thaiyaba (the owner) and the amazing staff for making my stay so comfortable and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Police came by 11 pm and disturbed our sleep and this place has a very bad network.
Service of the staff was just exceptional - from the manager to the restaurant staff to the reception, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and attentive. Small gestures such as helping with calling a Doctor, or checking on needs of our children showed a genuine interest from the staff in being helpful. For example, the food had not been prepared as expected and the staff immediately replaced the item with an alternate without anything.
Room was excellent... but I guess everywhere hotel i stayed for past 20 years had room service... here no culture of room service at all. When we entered no one was there to help us with luggage. The incharge gave us the key and told ur room is in second floor. We went to second floor and was searching for our room. Nobody to guide us where the room is... is it the real situation of this place? Or was there any issue?
Am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. The air conditioning was ineffective despite being set to 18°C. There was no bottled water, towels were missing on arrival, and the room had mosquitoes with an empty repellent. The bed linen was also in poor condition. We had to request basic essentials multiple times. The unresponsive service and lack of basic hospitality made the experience frustrating. For the price charged, the quality of service and facilities was unacceptable. I will not return or recommend this place to anyone.
Rooms needs improvement, no mirror, toilet seats broken, noisy fan and AC, needs big improvement on quality and value for money. Receptionist was kind enough to give 2 hrs extension to check out. Rest all needs improvement. Not worth 3K
last week unknowingly i booked room in this Hotel. Horrible hotel to stay. Book this only as a last resort. Not even complimentary water bottle was given, room full of cockroaches, nasty washrooms broken toilet seat, no intercom, no phone to contact reception also , even coffee/ Tea not available , no room service, no parking space, cleaning staff not available, very rude reception staff, they act as if we are asking room for free. they charge 25 rs for local brand water bottle which they get for 5 rs. all good reviews given by their own people. dont book here
It is like a PG accommodation. Toilets were bad. Rooms were not maintained. Toilet smell in the room. I have booked for breakfast for 3 people and they said it will be available at 8.30 am. We had to leave at 7.30 and thus skipped the breakfast. When we asked for refund they said it is not possible from their side. No other facility and only rooms.
The rooms were contrary to what was on the website. This was one of the worst stays that I had in Chennai.Neither the amenities were good nor the attitude and behavior of staff/hosts. Dirty Bathrooms, accessories and bed linen. In fact you would not feel like even cleaning yourself in the washrooms or lying on the bed. Small congested suffocating rooms!. Bad Location. Worst possible experience
