Mylapore, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Chennai, is located about 8 km south of the city center. The locality is best known as the birthplace of Thiruvalluvar, the celebrated Tamil poet and philosopher from the 6th century AD. Mylapore is also the final resting place of St. Thomas, the apostle of Jesus Christ who came to India to preach the gospel. Thanks to its rich heritage, there is a lot to see and explore in the locality, from age-old temples and churches to modern-day attractions. It is also a cultural hub of Chennai with a rich tradition of classical music and dance to its credit. All in all, Mylapore is a traveler’s paradise and some of the best budget hotels in Chennai are in this locality. Hotels in Mylapore offer you the perfect base while you explore the cultural and historical legacy of the locality and the city beyond.
Tourists staying at hotels in Mylapore, Chennai must explore Luz Corner, one of the oldest shopping hubs in Chennai. The streets here are dotted with quaint stores as well as high-end outlets, including Nalli Silks, Murugan Old Book Shop, and Mysore Silk Palace, to name a few. The City Center Mall in RK Salai is another major place to shop in Mylapore and it houses a good range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
For foodies, the restaurants in Mylapore offer the best of South Indian flavors. I am a Senior citizen, having stayed in many hotels, and when I stayed in B Zone, a couple of years back, I realised that this hotel was miles superior to its contemporaries. It leaves its rivals in the Hospitality sector far far behind in the classy amenities that it offers. Superb cleanliness..... Place is exceptionally spic and span. Superb furnishing. A pleasing and aesthetic finish to the interiors. Polite and helpful staff. A sumptuous complimentary breakfast that keeps you going till late afternoon. An owner who calls to enquire if you are comfortable. Located in an idyllic, quiet, but sophisticated area . Located in a place where any important office / bank / resturant can be reached in a matter of minutes. And ALL this at a very modest Tariff of Rs 3000 /-. And my each stay seems to be better than the previous one. This is my kind of place, and will ever, ever be my place to go to in Chennai. I wish the marvelous owners all the very best. Your staff are excellent and courteous. Rooms are good
Rooms are clean but there is smoking smell from neighbouring rooms. Located centrally in Royapettah
Good for the price, not to expect more.
⭐ Worst Hotel Experience – FabExpress B Zone ⭐ This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. My stay on 21.01.2026 was extremely disappointing. Worst maintenance – the room and premises were poorly maintained. Not clean at all – hygiene standards are unacceptable. Worst staff behavior – rude, unprofessional, and least bothered about guests. Breakfast issue – breakfast was served from outside food, not freshly prepared. The most shocking part: When I asked for idlis, they served two and took one back after serving. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and insulting to guests. Overall, this hotel lacks basic hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism. ❌ Do not come here. Do not stay here. I strongly suggest choosing any other hotel instead of FabExpress B Zone. Highly dissatisfied and not recommended at all.
Very poor service no working TV no hot water cattle. No toiletries Room was full of dirt...very old and tore bedsheet. Ac was also not working. Never expected this type of room service from Fab hotel platform. They have shown balcony on website but not provided. Fab hotel Authority should take action against this property owner. They will ruin name of Fab...overall pathetic stay
I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with my recent booking at your hotel. Upon arrival, I was shocked by the condition of the room, provided to me. The room was dirty, unhygienic and nowhere near the standard advertised or expressed by the hotel. This was completely unacceptable. Because of these conditions, I had no choice but to check out immediately. I did not stay the night, as it was impossible to do so in such an environment. I paid for a service that was not delivered, and this experience has caused significant inconvenience and frustration.
My stay at the Fab Hotel yesterday was extremely disappointing. The rooms were in a very bad condition—dirty, poorly maintained, and far below the basic standards I expected. This is honestly the worst room I have stayed in so far. The cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep were unacceptable for a hotel claiming to offer quality service. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves the condition of the rooms immediately.. very horrifying rooms ever been .odd smells, liquid marks on bed .non responsive customer care dumps.
Worst experience ever
Worst rooms...damp and with moulds. Low ceiling, felt claustrophobic. The time we went some renovation was going on and we had to go to another property as they requested. Customer service is zero.
