Good
Overall good experience. Can be better.
Fab Astra is awesome only because of the manager and staff dedication.Manager is a real gentlemen person who put himself in customers shoe and try to give the best and quality service. His hospitality is saluted and seeing his dedication towards his guest shows his commitment.\nOn Diwali morning he went to everyone room with sweets to wish Diwali and that was remarkable.we celebrated Diwali infront of hotel premises and evening shift manager too helped us a lot to arrange the candles sticks and lot more .\nThe restra on the top floor of hotel has a soothing ambience with mouth watering food.\nhouse keepers team were dedicated to clean the room everyday and no matter how many times u call reception they were always ready to help.\nHotel Manger introduced me to new trainee for the reception job, he is also a sweet person and always address the person with a smile and he have a zeal to help. no matter what i called reception for he made it possible.\nthere was a time i called him for any silly this he was just for my service ... nice work dude keep it up and your dedication will definetly help you to grown and the manager who is guiding u the path will enhance your skills .\nHave lot to write but yes I will just say its my second home in Bangalore . Thank you all for giving me the comfort and feel of home on this Diwali and on my other occasion stay .\n\nAll the best manager sir and to your complete dedicated team .\n\n\nRegards \nSami Anand ****.
I stayed in Suite No. 205. Two huge rooms, the front room with kitchen and the attached room, the bedroom. Sufficiently furnished. Bathroom extremely small and windowless. The suite room/sitting room had a torn sofa which looked very shabby. The kitchen has a 280 litre fridge, oven, heater and coffee maker, but no coffee/tea/milk sachets etc. TV with wifi available, but very poor wifi connectivity. The sleep comfort was ok. There is a balcony attached to the bed room. Electronic key did not work many a times.\n\nThe rooftop restaurant sits approx. 30 people. Very, Very, Very limited breakfast - they have only bread butter, poha , idli and pav bhaji. Just one choice per day and limited in quantity. You cannot ask for additional servings. This sucks...\n\nThe only good thing about the hotel is the location, price points. Period, nothing more. Dinner and lunch are also available. Quantities are sufficient, but too spicy for my liking.\n\nConsidering the location, no other choice... value for money
FabHotels wanted me to transfer money beforehand, calling my booking \tentative\, even though on Booking.com this booking was confirmed and I was still in the period when I could cancel it without any costs. I even tried to do this, but Fabhotel's application did not accept my foreign card. It was very annoying not to know whether I would have a hotel room upon arrival or not. Replies to my emails came only very very late.\rWhen I arrived the check-in went fine, but later that evening there was another receptionist and he wanted to know my mobile telephone number. I gave him my telephone number and he kept saying that \this number is not correct\ because it needs to be less digits. I kept explaining that this is a foreign mobile number, and that is why it has more digits than an Indian number.\rA few times, there was a cockroach in my room. Most staff were nice, except the receptionist who could not believe a foreign number had more digits than an Indian one.\rThe rooms are really big, my room consisted of a bedroom and a living room.\rThe rooms were cleaned well.
Worst experience faced no breakfast provided and nothing is good I had booked in fab and the hotel team asked to pay extra ammount for checkin
Let's talk about the worst things first. 1. After checking in, they just let you be on your own. Even for a water bottle you will have to call them 10 times, explain them that you need water, they will ask you to come down at reception as their is no service boy and after an hour if you're lucky, you'll get water. This happened to me 4 times while i was staying there, not even a single time i got drinking water without struggling this much. 2. As i told about such a must needed thing that is water, i also tried to order tea in the morning and i didn't got that too as well. You'll need to go outside to have your morning tea. 3. In my stay of 3 days, no one came to ask for cleaning etc. And when you go downstairs at reception, most of the time there's no one to attend you. You'll need to call them again and again on the given number and if you're lucky, they'll pick your call and get your problem sorted but i wasn't lucky enough to get my room cleaned in 3 days of stay. 4. Set your car on fire if you're visiting here and want to keep your car near you. There's no parking even when there's space. They don't even help you in keeping your car safe. So people with cars, just stay away from this hotel. 5. Mobile networks issue : as you enter hotel's premises, your phone will go out of network as there is no tower of Jio, VI, BSNL and most of the times even networks of Airtel fail. But hotel's wifi is just fine to keep your internet working. 6.Behaviour of owner is pathetic. Good things: 1. Manager/receptionist: i am forgetting his name, i think it was Nagarjuna. So manager was friendly and with a polite way he listened to my problems though solving them was not in his hands. He was the only nice guy there. 2. They are giving you a room with roof on your head to stay. *I AM NEVER GOING TO VISIT HERE AGAIN EVEN IF THEY PAY ME TO STAY THERE.*
Charged 500 rupees for 2 hours pre check in
Let me bifurgate the review into points so that it would be easy for everyone to understand. First of all there are no positive points to appreciate in the pathetic hotel. So lets begin:-\n\n1. The receptionist\nWe have already informed him about the late check-in. We were about to check in the morning around 4:00 AM. We Met the receptionist and completed all the formalities. After that he told us to adjust on the existing bed as its late and housekeeping staff is sleeping so extra bed can not be arranged. We were 3 persons so we forced for it and after 45 mins finally got it. This was just the first instance. Next every time we gave keys for cleaning the room or ask for anything his tone was very rude and mannerless. Moreover he behaved as if we were staying there for free and asking for extra services from him. FAMILIES SHOULD STRICTLY AVOID !!!\n\n2. The room \nMost pathetic room one can ever imagine. Bathroom door was broken, no dishes in the kitchen, no spoons, AC was not working properly, no hot water, foul smell from every nook and corner and what not. In a double occupancy bed there were two single mattresses so every time we turned to the middle side our head went into the mattresses. The faucet of the kitchen was attached to a broken tile. \n\n3. Housekeeping staff\nIt doesn't matter what is the time if you order anything thats not free you have to pay on the spot. They wont even wait for 2 mins they need the money right then and there. While providing the extra bed(which was just mattress) we just inquired if they could arrange an extra bed with mattress and the answer was \yeh de rahe hai or kya chaiye ? Itne paiso main yeh he aata hai (what else do you need? This is enough as per the room tariff). \n\n4. Location of hotel\nThe hotel is located on the main road atleast. This is the only plus point for the hotel. No proper parking no security guards and no concierge. \n\nI WOULD REQUEST ALL THE READERS TO AVOID THIS ONE. CHECK THE NAME OF HOTEL WHENEVER YOU BOOK THROUGH OYO IF ITS \HOTEL ASTRA SUITES\ CANCEL IT IMMEDIATELY OR GET READY FOR THE MOST AWFUL STAY OF YOUR LIFE.
