Dharavi is one of the unique places in Mumbai that many tourists, especially international travellers, wish to explore as it represents a completely different side of the city, far from the glitz and glam. It is considered to be the largest slum in the world, with an area of approx. 520 acres and a population of more than a million. Truly a city within a city, Dharavi is home to a large number of thriving small-scale industries producing textiles, pottery, recycled goods, leather goods, etc. that are sold in India as well as overseas. Owing to the relevance of this neighbourhood among both leisure and business travellers, there are several budget hotels near Dharavi offering a comfortable accommodation.
Dharavi is home to the world’s largest leather market and thus, it is a must for travellers to explore the myriad shops in the area for backpacks, bags, wallets, belts, jackets and more. Besides Dharavi Leather Market, people staying at hotels in Mumbai nearby can visit Gandhi Market (2.5 km), Linking Road (5.6 km) and Dadar Market (6 km). Popular malls within half an hour include Link Square Mall (6 km), High Street Phoenix (7.5 km), Palladium Mall (7.7 km) and Phoenix Marketcity (8.4 km). Best restaurants in and around the neighbourhood include New Bismillah Restaurant, Gurukripa, Hotel Theresa, Rehmat Restaurant, Seven Sevens, Ram Ashraya and Hardeep Punjab. Café Madras, Central Peninsula, Icy Spicy, Peninsula, Modern Lunch Home and Hanuman are other popular options.
Along with the slum tour, travellers can include several tourist attractions close to Dharavi hotels in their itinerary to make the most of their Mumbai trip. Popular sightseeing places that are less than a 30-minute drive from the area are Mahim Fort, Prabhadevi Beach, Worli Fort, Bandra Worli Sea Link, Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra Fort, Sewri Fort, Sion Fort and Siddhivinayak Temple.
Both Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus are approximately 9 km from Dharavi and offer easy access to the area by buses, taxis and auto rickshaws. By local, travellers can take the train to Mahim (3.7 km), exit from the west and cross the bridge to reach Dharavi.
absolutely lovely and helpful staff and facilities were good. The staff at the hotel main entrance are very helpful.A smile makes all the difference id say!
Good room sizes and very well maintained bathroom. Very welcoming staff and professional service quality with nice behaviour of room service operator.
Absolutely no words to say!! I am just stunned with the excellent service quality of the property. Will be coming back soon. Three cheers to the entire staff who made my stay a pleasurable experience. Thank you
The Hotel was beautiful with clean and comfortable rooms. It was even better than expected. I would definitely stay there again
Very well maintained hotel and rooms. All the staff were very friendly and courteous. We arrived earlier than expected by a few hours and our room was prioritised in terms and we were able to check in early free of charge. This was very helpful and appreciated as we were quite tired after a long flight.
Location is not good and the cleaning staffs behaviour is not good Otherwise all is good Very nice next time also we will choose this..
Staff were all very helpful. Food was great! Room was very clean and comfortable. Very luxiorous hotel. Highly recommend
Nice hospitality, good bed, cooperative staff, good social sense, food was fine ,it was a beautiful ambience around , location was good ,things were taken care at short notice , overall a beautiful stay, would surely recommend.
After booking they demand extra payment I have 2 rooms booking with make my trip but after reaching hotel staff tell me only 1 room available if you want 2 room you have to pay extra After so many discussions they give me room after they take extra amount for child I already booked 2 rooms with 2 child but again again demand extra money My guest reached hotel night 12 o'clock after long discussion I give them extra money for child Cheater hotel I never book this hotel again
It was a late checkin and the room was not prepared. I passed the message twice to fab hotels for late check-in and check-out they said it is done. But the hotel guy didn't know that. Hello told me to check-out at 11 and it is inconvenient after conveying the message twice. Rooms were old and not clean there were cockroaches and the washroom was not also clean. Fab hotels are a scam there is nothing Fab. Total waste of money.
