Dadar is a busy, residential cum shopping planned neighborhood in Mumbai. The suburban railway line that passes through the area divides it into Dadar East and Dadar West. Dadar East is a quaint locality with colonial-style bungalows, old residential colonies, and houses exhibiting the Victorian style of architecture. It is an important terminus that serves as the only common station linking the Western and Central Lines. The station also has a terminus dedicated to trains from outstation.
