Santacruz is one of the prime locations in Mumbai that is divided into two parts by the suburban railway line – Santacruz East and Santacruz West. Both these parts are connected by Milan and Khar Subway as well as the recently built Milan flyover. Santacruz East is a commercial hub with big names such as Asian Paints and Microsoft, financial institutes like SBI and ICICI, and several premium and budget Mumbai hotels attracting travellers to this part of the city. Mumbai Domestic Airport (T1) is also located here, owing to which many visitors prefer to book hotels in Santacruz East, Mumbai. Besides, Western Express Highway, Nehru Road, Santacruz-Chembur Link Road and the Kalina-Kurla Link Road pass through this area, making it easy for tourists to travel to different parts of Mumbai and beyond.
There is no dearth of shopping and dining places around Santacruz East hotels, many of which lie close to the popular business district of Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). Shopaholics can explore marketplaces, malls and brand stores within 10 km radius of Santacruz East. Some popular ones are Vakola Market, Santacruz Market, Phoenix Marketcity, DB Mall, R City, Infiniti, Seasons, Roopkala Heritage, Kalki Fashion and Society Stores, among others.
You can choose to dine in style at Grand Hyatt’s Celini, Fifty Five East, China House Lounge and The Bar, or pick from other popular options such as Garden Treat, King Chilli, Dumpling Khang, Cheezzila Vakola, Thotrin Café, Theeram, Dynasty, The Camp, Tiffany’s Restro Bar, X-Hale Lounge, etc.
While staying at hotels in Santacruz East, you can plan a quick tour of the prominent places in the vicinity. Some of the popular tourist attractions that can be reached within half an hour from this locality are Our Lady of Egypt Church, Mumbai Selfie Point, Love Mumbai, Mahakali Caves, Juhu Beach, Red Carpet Wax Museum, Hanging Gardens, Mahim Fort, Snow World Mumbai, Prabhadevi Beach, Dolphin Aquarium, Sion Fort and Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganpati Temple. Besides, several landmarks that are synonymous with Mumbai are less than an hour’s drive from here, such as the Gateway of India, Haji Ali Dargah, Band Stand, Marine Drive and Colaba Causeway.
You will barely take 15 minutes by road to reach Santacruz East from Terminal 1 (Domestic) of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. However, you may take 10-15 minutes more if you are booking a taxi or cab at Terminal 2 (International). You can travel to different parts of the city from Santacruz East by bus from BEST bus terminus near the railway station. Though it may be hard for first-timers, you can commute by local trains from Santacruz station, which is served by both Western and Harbour lines that connect this locality to Churchgate, Panvel, Goregaon, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and various other prominent places in Mumbai.
There was a room tariff issue during check in where I booked at fabhotels at a different price and the receptionist told me to pay extra because fabhotel confirmed booking at a very lower price. But I contacted fabhotel's customer care and they resolved the issue without I paying any extra money. Other than this, the overall experience was good at this price point
We are already traveling India on low budget for a few weeks so we are already used to the standard here. I’m sorry to write this but this wasn’t the cheapest but the worst accommodation we have stayed in. The room had such an disgusting smell. It also seemed like it had been smoked inside. We asked for another room. The service seemed to know about the problem but only sprayed some room fresher in the air what did not help for a long time. The whole luggage is smelling now and even washing my hair four times with two different shampoos did not help to get rid of the smell. Also the bed linen and towels seemed washed but had a lot of stains. The bathroom was fine except the smell, the service was ok and the location quite nice.
The photos on the website are nowhere like the actual rooms - paint is peeled off etc. Hygiene is questionable. Serious fire hazard with no fire escape or even windows - only exit is at entry which is far away. Location is fantastic - close to the highway, metro, rail and bus station. All a walking distance away. If you're even slightly concerned about safety and hygiene - reconsider!
We booked this hotel on Booking.com based on the photos and the fact that it was listed as a 3-star property, so we expected a decent stay. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. First, the hotel name was different from what was shown online, which made it very difficult to locate and felt misleading. When we finally reached the property, the room was in terrible condition and not at all comparable to a 3-star hotel — even many 2-star hotels are far better. The room was extremely small with no proper space to place our luggage. We could clearly hear noise from outside as well as from neighboring rooms, making it impossible to rest. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, which was very inconvenient as we were already tired from traveling. Breakfast the next morning was very poor and not worth the price at all. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. We left as quickly as possible. If giving zero stars were an option, we would choose that. Very disappointing and misleading experience.
I don’t usually like to complain, but this was honestly one of the worst-maintained hotels I have ever stayed in. When my friend came to visit me, the staff demanded an additional charge of ₹700, even though the difference between a single-person stay and a two-person stay for two days was only ₹300. This pricing made no sense and felt unreasonable. The staff behavior was polite and cooperative, which is the only positive takeaway. When I pointed out that the bed linens were dirty, they replaced them after my request. However, the room itself was extremely small. I tried to adjust, but the situation became unacceptable due to the large number of cockroaches in the room. I informed the staff, but they had no solution or proper arrangement to address the issue. Overall, staying here for two nights was very difficult for me. If you can afford to spend a little more, I strongly recommend avoiding Fab Cluster hotels. It’s simply not worth the compromise. Thank you. This version is review-platform ready: clear, factual, and outcome-oriented. It communicates the value gap without sounding emotional, which increases credibility and impact.
They screwed up The reservation, they cancelled the reservation by themselves After making the payment and after that, they provided me a different hotel in a different location. The helpline people were rude And it seems that they don’t want to help once the alternate Hotel was given. The rooms were small, dusty and hygienic and full of mosquitoes. The food which was served for breakfast was called once it was asked that can you heat it up? They said the Chef has already left and this is what we have very poor service. Very bad attitude. This is not a hospitality. Your apologies will not bring back my comfort and that worst experience. You will tell your team that to take care of the mentioned things but nothing will happen. You are just writing and mentioning your apologies for a sake of showing that you care but you really don’t mean it. Next time fab hotels big “NO” for me and for my family and friends. When they didn’t cared while I was staying in the hotel when I mentioned to them. All the things, do you think they will care after I check out. Come out of dreams and see the reality of the hotel. Worst, worst, worst hotel ever plus the attitude of the staff which is dame care attitude. For the amount I pay I could have got a better hotel around. The owner knew about his hotel conditions that’s why he took all the left over balance during check in so that I can’t change it for 2 nd day. Disaster, disappointment and worst experience
Just now checked in very very pathetic service and unprofessional staff. We have paid for premium room but at the time of check-in they told us that they totally forgot that we are checking in. So sour room they have given somebody else. I have done the the booking long long ago but then also these things happened. Wi fi not working.
I stayed at this hotel last night and had a very disappointing experience. The room shown on the MMT app was completely different from the actual one provided. The mattress and blanket were very old and unhygienic, and the pillows had a bad smell. The geyser was not working, and the towels were old and looked heavily used. No dental or bath kit was provided. They gave only 1 liter of water for two persons. I had booked the room with breakfast included, but they served only cold puri sabji — just one item in the menu. Moreover, the hotel staff asked me to open WhatsApp and give them a 5-star rating, which is not acceptable. Overall, I strongly recommend not to book this hotel. The only positive point is that the staff behavior was polite.
Dear Fab Hotel Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent experience with Fab Hotel on 3rd October. I had booked a room 4 days in advance for my wife’s birthday celebration. While making the booking, I confirmed with your customer care team, and they assured me that decorations would be arranged. However, on the day of the celebration, when the decorator arrived at the hotel, the lobby staff informed us that decorations were not allowed. This not only ruined the entire surprise but also spoiled our celebration. Furthermore, I was informed that the booked room would not be provided unless I paid an additional ₹2000, which was extremely shocking and unacceptable. In addition, your customer care team repeatedly kept me on hold for long durations (up to 30 minutes), which caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time. This entire experience was very unprofessional and has left me extremely dissatisfied. Fab Hotel failed to fulfill the commitments made at the time of booking, and as a result, my wife’s birthday celebration was completely ruined. I sincerely hope you will take this matter seriously, review your staff’s behavior, and ensure that such incidents do not happen to other customers in the future. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Fab Hotel to anyone.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 days(WORST). The room was clean, AC is working fine, small room and location was amazing but the overall experience was very disappointing. The staff was rude, common washrooms were Extremely dirty, and the reception was tiny. I paid 4-5K for 2 days not worthy of 400-500 We requested early check-in. They initially said the room was available, and since it’s a fab hotel, I expected some flexibility. While charging 30% before 10 AM is understandable, even after 10 AM they refused to give us the room, despite acknowledging it was available, citing a rigid policy. The room had moisture issues and even small cockroaches. Drinking water was limited to one litre per day, and extra was chargeable (that too 30rs even when the same bottle is avaialble at 20). Breakfast was extremely basic (choose one - limited Quantity-poha, bread, omelette). When we requested two breads along with poha, staff insisted it was chargeable, and the bread was handed over without a plate, which was unhygienic. The poor hygiene, inflexible policies, and rude staff make it an uncomfortable stay. I’d recommend booking for 1 day at most, then staying elsewhere you will see the difference. Thank god it was just a 2 days stay.
