Established in the early 1960s, CR Park or Chittaranjan Park (formerly EPDP Colony or East Pakistan Displaced Persons Colony) is the outpost of Bengali culture in the national capital. This affluent neighborhood in South Delhi has emerged as one of the posh localities owing to the sky-rocketing property prices. It is deemed as a mini replica of Kolkata and houses Bengali food stalls, fish markets, temples, and cultural sites. CR Park is also located close to many prime localities in South Delhi such as Greater Kailash, Nehru Place, and Kalkaji. With the airport and closest railway station being located within 15 km, hotels in CR Park are the most preferred accommodation choices for local and international tourists.
The neighborhood is known for its local markets which are known by numbers, namely Market 1, 2, 3, and 4. Offering everything from authentic Bengali food and fish to grocery items and sweets, these are among the best places to shop in CR Park. Greater Kailash M Block Market (3 km), Alaknanda Market (2.4 km) and NFC Market (5 km)are other must-visit hubs for shopaholics staying at hotels in CR Park, New Delhi. Some of the popular shopping malls in New Delhi such as DLF Place Mall, Southern Park Mall, MGF Metropolitan Mall Saket, and Select City Walk Mall are located within 5 km of the locality.
While staying at New Delhi hotels in CR Park, you cannot miss out on trying Bengali dishes. Kolkata Biryani House, Maa Tara, Amar Shonar Bangla, Madly Bangalee, and Aami Bangali are among the best Bengali restaurants in CR Park. The markets here are lined with Bengali street food joints where you can try Kathi Rolls, Puchkas, Ghugnees, Chur Mur and more. Raju Puchka Stall, Ghugnee Wala, Dadu Cutlet Shop, and Kolkata Kathi Rolls Stall are a few must-visit street food eateries. Many pubs and bars in Greater Kailash including Side Car, PDA, The Finch, and Street 9 bar and Lounge are within 2 km radius of the locality.
Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir, a temple cum Bengali cultural center, is the main attraction in the locality. Other places to visit in and around CR Park include Aastha Kunj Park (2 km), Shri Kalkaji Temple (2.5 km), Lotus Temple (2.5 km), ISKCON Temple (3 km), Ashokan Rock Edict (4.6 km), and Tughlaqabad Fort (3.5 km). Many tourist attractions in Delhi can also be easily accessed from CR Park hotels, including Qutub Minar (8 km), Humayun’s Tomb (8 km), Purana Qila (10 km), Lodhi Gardens (11 km), India Gate (12 km), Akshardham Temple (13 km), and Red Fort (16 km).
Indira Gandhi International Airport is located 15 km away from CR Park while New Delhi Railway Station (15 km) and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station (10 km) are the nearest railheads. You can reach your hotels in CR Park from these transportation hubs using buses, taxis or pre-booked cabs. The nearest metro stations to the locality are Nehru Enclave (1.7 km), Nehru Place (2 km) and Greater Kailash (2.5 km). City buses operated by Delhi Transport Corporation ply between CR Park and many major localities in Delhi.
My overall stay at the hotel was good. The water supply, geyser, and staff service were satisfactory, and the cleanliness was decent. However, despite the cleaning, there was an unpleasant smell in both the room and the bathroom, which slightly affected the experience. If this issue is addressed, the overall stay can be much better.
Hotel was good and clean, staff was active and services are quick and fast. overall good experiance.
It was pleasant stay amid posh locality. Easy and quick access to market and metro. Polite staff. Good food.
Fab hotel like Fabulous....Exceeded all expectations. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, providing the perfect environment for both work and relaxation. Special thanks to the team for the seamless hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the
One of the best in Malviya Nagar, I have stayed at this place a lot of times. Stay was great as always. Room size was not very good this time but it works.
"Everything was great about the stayclean rooms, good location, friendly staff. But the 20Rs water bottle charged at 31 felt overpriced, even after paying for the costly room, water should be on MRP or provide its own filtered water for free of cost."
Hotel was not at all up to Fab hotel standards. Room was not clean - there were cockroaches and even a rat. There was no provision for food as the cook was on leave. Check in was only done after full payment. All in all, not at all value for money and would never stay here again.
Not so clean room, leaking toilet. What is shown in pictures or description is never true. Money charged was expensive too.
The lift/elevator was not working, the entrance was quite shabby looking , the hotels shares a building with another hotel and a bank.the linen had cigarette burns, the curtains were dirty and had holes in them. The washroom was not cleaned or maintained properlyThe TV was non-functional. The AC didn't cool properly. The water bottle that was provided had a broken seal
At first, my hotel was changed without my notice, that too after paying in advance. I paid only after looking at pics of hotel room and ambience. In this changed hotel, just because already paid, the service and welcome was terrible. I have to beg for my breakfast several times despite paying for room with breakfast. In any hotel the water is complimentary, here they said it's chargeable. Having no choice I said ok. Even after that I have to wait thirsty for water. I will never recommend this hotel ever to anyone. That is why I checked out a day before, even after booking for 2 days. Since I have good experience with fab hotel earlier, i will spare fab for choosing, kindly do not change without guest confirmation once booked and don't tie up with such dirty hotels without ventilation, no water, poor service, cold service type hotels. Keep monitoring. Horrible exp
