Let me bifurgate the review into points so that it would be easy for everyone to understand. first of all there are no positive points to appreciate in the pathetic hotel. so lets begin:-\n\n1. the receptionist\nwe have already informed him about the late check-in. we were about to check in the morning around 4:00 am. we met the receptionist and completed all the formalities. after that he told us to adjust on the existing bed as its late and housekeeping staff is sleeping so extra bed can not be arranged. we were 3 persons so we forced for it and after 45 mins finally got it. this was just the first instance. next every time we gave keys for cleaning the room or ask for anything his tone was very rude and mannerless. moreover he behaved as if we were staying there for free and asking for extra services from him. families should strictly avoid !!!\n\n2. the room \nmost pathetic room one can ever imagine. bathroom door was broken, no dishes in the kitchen, no spoons, ac was not working properly, no hot water, foul smell from every nook and corner and what not. in a double occupancy bed there were two single mattresses so every time we turned to the middle side our head went into the mattresses. the faucet of the kitchen was attached to a broken tile. \n\n3. housekeeping staff\nit doesn't matter what is the time if you order anything thats not free you have to pay on the spot. they wont even wait for 2 mins they need the money right then and there. while providing the extra bed(which was just mattress) we just inquired if they could arrange an extra bed with mattress and the answer was \yeh de rahe hai or kya chaiye ? itne paiso main yeh he aata hai (what else do you need? this is enough as per the room tariff). \n\n4. location of hotel\nthe hotel is located on the main road atleast. this is the only plus point for the hotel. no proper parking no security guards and no concierge. \n\ni would request all the readers to avoid this one. check the name of hotel whenever you book through oyo if its \hotel astra suites\ cancel it immediately or get ready for the most awful stay of your life.

Fabhotels wanted me to transfer money beforehand, calling my booking \tentative\, even though on booking.com this booking was confirmed and i was still in the period when i could cancel it without any costs. i even tried to do this, but fabhotel's application did not accept my foreign card. it was very annoying not to know whether i would have a hotel room upon arrival or not. replies to my emails came only very very late.\rwhen i arrived the check-in went fine, but later that evening there was another receptionist and he wanted to know my mobile telephone number. i gave him my telephone number and he kept saying that \this number is not correct\ because it needs to be less digits. i kept explaining that this is a foreign mobile number, and that is why it has more digits than an indian number.\ra few times, there was a cockroach in my room. most staff were nice, except the receptionist who could not believe a foreign number had more digits than an indian one.\rthe rooms are really big, my room consisted of a bedroom and a living room.\rthe rooms were cleaned well.

I stayed in suite no. 205. two huge rooms, the front room with kitchen and the attached room, the bedroom. sufficiently furnished. bathroom extremely small and windowless. the suite room/sitting room had a torn sofa which looked very shabby. the kitchen has a 280 litre fridge, oven, heater and coffee maker, but no coffee/tea/milk sachets etc. tv with wifi available, but very poor wifi connectivity. the sleep comfort was ok. there is a balcony attached to the bed room. electronic key did not work many a times.\n\nthe rooftop restaurant sits approx. 30 people. very, very, very limited breakfast - they have only bread butter, poha , idli and pav bhaji. just one choice per day and limited in quantity. you cannot ask for additional servings. this sucks...\n\nthe only good thing about the hotel is the location, price points. period, nothing more. dinner and lunch are also available. quantities are sufficient, but too spicy for my liking.\n\nconsidering the location, no other choice... value for money

Fab hotel astra, the guy at the reception was very polite at both checkin and checkout. the room was really great, i really liked the fact that they split the room into two areas, keeping the bedroom as private as it can be. the other room was fantastic with great amenities including a refrigerator, oven, toaster & crockery.\n\non the flip side, the almirahs could be a little cleaner, i had to ask twice for a towel change, the wi-fi didn't work and their resolution was to give me some mobile data which was a little morbid. the breakfast, delivered at room sounded like a great idea but wasn't really that though out when they were ringing your door at 7.30 and with no northern food items. also, the intercom didn't work though they gave me other numbers to make do.\n\nif the wifi would have worked and breakfast would have more options, it would have been definitely in my top 5 stays at hotels, but alas, it din't work.\n\np.s it cost me around 2k for 2 days.
