Did you think Patna was only famous for its ancient ruins, religious places and political turmoil?
Not true. Because the city also knows how to have fun eating out, picnics in its many gardens and absolutely amazing days at water parks. Although there’s no dearth of things to explore while in Patna, if you’re traveling with kids during summer then water parks is the way to go. (While the kids jump around splashing in water, mommy and daddy get to put up their feet and enjoy those two minutes they never get!) And even if you weren’t, nothing stops you from turning into a kid for a day. Right?
Patna boasts of two marvelous water parks: Funtasia Island and Hungama World. One is within Patna and the other on the Patna-Bihta Road, just a few kilometers out of the city. Both water parks feature many rides, are well-kept and organized. And safe!
Here’s all you need to know about these waterparks in Patna before you go.
One of the very first water parks in Bihar and the first one in Patna, Funtasia Island is spread over approximately 5 acres of land. This huge tract of land is dotted with many attractions for you to soak up all the fun (get our pun? soak up!). Expect a huge wave pool of about 1800 sq. feet where large artificial waves crack down on its shoreline, well-designed swimming pools for grown-ups and kids, water-based recreational adventure activities, thrilling high-speed water slides and several fun rides.
Once you’re all tuckered out, head to the multi-cuisine restaurant on the premises to fuel up. The water park offers several facilities – you could rent a locker or a swimming costume, you could buy bathing suits if you feel icky about using the rented ones, senior citizens can take it easy and rest at designated rest-areas and of course towels are available on request.
For this water park in Patna, entry fee from Monday to Friday is ₹350 per person and on weekends you pay ₹450 per head.
