The Blue Line of Hyderabad Metro was opened on the same day as Red Line. It runs for 27 km in an east–west direction via 23 stations, and along the way, it connects several important areas like HITEC City and Secunderabad. The tracks on the line are 1435 mm (standard gauge), while the overhead catenary carries alternating current at 25 kV. Every train has three coaches and a maximum speed of 80 km/h, while the headway between two trains is 5–10 minutes.
