An exemplary piece of Dravidian architecture, the Kondandarama Temple attracts devotees of Lord Rama. Inside the temple, the idol of Rama is flanked by Sita on the right (as the place is believed to be where Rama got married) and Lakshmana on the left. Constructed in three phases (possibly in the 14th, 16th and 17th centuries), the temple’s sukhanasi and garbhagrha structures are reminiscent of the Hoysala style of architecture. The rest, however, is Dravidian. Apart from religious tourists, photography and architecture buffs can look forward to an interesting time here.
