True to its moniker “City of Gardens”, Bangalore boasts of a modern cityscape interspersed with numerous parks, gardens, and tree-lined boulevards. While each of these green spaces serves as great spots for morning walks, evening strolls, and short picnics, one park stands out from all the rest, namely the Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park. Located in the central part of the city, it is apparently the first park in the country with a computerized musical fountain. In addition to the spectacular multimedia-based dancing fountain show held in the evenings, the park has lush green trees, well-manicured lawns, and a play area for kids, among others. The National Military Memorial located right next to the park is also a major attraction for visitors.
