Theme of Taj Mahotsav 2024
For each edition, the festival has a different theme or message associated with it that forms the base of all its cultural performances. Mostly, these themes are related to the heritage of India and how to preserve it for future generations. For instance, last year’s edition of the event was based on the theme “Vishwa Bandhutva”. In 2022, the theme was ‘Parampara’, meaning ‘tradition’ in English and exhibited many attractive traditional crafts by 400+ craftsmen from across the country. Adding to the highlights of the festival were diverse cuisine and the cream of Indian musicians and soul-stirring performances by well-renowned folk artists.
Organised by UP Tourism, the grand celebration that is Taj Mahotsav has brought around five million people to Agra’s Shilpgram – located 500 m from the eastern gate of the Taj Mahal – last year alone, and this number will definitely go up this year with an exciting mix of cultural activities and fun fair at the event. So what are you waiting for? Book a stay at one of the hotels in Agra and set out for the city.
